Re: Permanent Imprisonment Over Murder Resulting From No-no Words Involving Reptiles
I don’t care about the word much so long as people aren’t using it derogatorily, so much as the type of person to use it is the type of person who is antithetical to what I love in TG. I really don’t see a reason to keep it except to try and high horse about free speech, but really, I’ve never been ...

It's especially pertinent, I think, that our admins would 100% action it if it became clear someone was calling people "DIRTY OLD TRIGGERS!" or something ridiculous like that. The intent is clear. The issue is clear. Time to put it to bed.

I feel as though at this rate, especially with the host handover, I'd like to put forward the idea of making "Ligger" a totally banned word equatable to use of any other derogatory slur. It's beyond antiquated, and honestly, there's ZERO sovl in it like anything else in the Good Book of Old SS13.

Non-issue. Chat highlights just allow less observant players to have their attention called to things that need their attention— if your character is, by code, perceptive enough to see an emag stuffed in a bag, then that’s kosher by me. Change the code if you think an attention grabbing highlight ...

Technical issues were never really the issue- because ultimately when you abuse TTS it degrades the roleplaying experience of the game, as Maxi says. If you scream "AAAAAAA!" when you see John Esword in maints, that's an okay use of TTS. If you walk the halls going AAA,AAA,AAA! because it's funny ...

This is where policy and admin discretion create a line in the sand— policy says you’re not gonna get bwoinked, but may be susceptible to IC consequences. Admin discretion says the Security Officers are allowed so long as it doesn’t cross into Rule 1/Grief which id argue silent batong confiscation ...

Re: Are botanists allowed ICly to grow deadly plants as part of their job content?
In policy terms, you are allowed dangerous items within your workplace. Unless you are growing weapons with intent to bring them out and validhunt, you are allowed nettles in Botany the same as MD’s are allowed to carry circular saws. From an IC perspective, I’d say guncargo is an apt comparison. If ...

I believe part of the policy.json/flavor text says something along the lines of not endangering the body. Succumbing is not mechanical suicide, so it’s not the worst thing you could do, but if medical help is on the way it’s a dick move to the original owner of the body.

I think as a MOTD it’d be neat but not very consequential. Loads clueless from my Nonhumand Heads event despite yappaholics anonymous tier MOTD. If we wanted to do this in significant fashion it’d take like, mandating it. I’m not a huge fan of mandating it, but it’s a neat idea.

Firing off the hip, I’ve always thought of this one as a greatly relaxed escalation sort of roleplay thing.
