*scream (and *screech) don't play a sound, unless triggered naturally
Other audible emotes work on a cooldown to prevent spam.
With the cooldown in place, and "clowns" moving on to TTS (has it's own anti-spam),
I don't see why it should still be treated so harshly.
Why do I want to scream on demand?
- The barrier sticks out among the other emotes. It irks me.
- I find it amusing in moderation.
- I think it brings out the fun in other people, especially on LRP..
Audible emotes breathe a bit of life and grabs attention in the way normal talk can't.
When you act goofy, a lot of people stop thinking about gameplay and goof back,
when otherwise they wouldn't give you the time of day.
But I can also stop and *stare until it does something, maybe even *me: chitters (talking is obviously a no-go).
If I could then AUDIBLY *scream when running away, after my excellent diplomacy inexplicably fails, it would really make the whole interaction come together for me.
