I usually sleep like a brick. But on the rare occasion that I cannot sleep, I lay absolutely motionless in bed, laying on my back. I allow my body to go numb. Starting with my toes and fingers, and eventually reaching my thorax. Eventually my breathing slows, and the paralysis envelops my chest and reaches my head. By that point I'm usually out cold.

Not sure how long this process takes, as I can't turn my head to face the clock. But I estimate no longer than half an hour.

It's funny seeing Trumpists make more and more people their enemy. Several months ago they were all "back the blue" but now in their communities I see comments like "Fuck the police", "The police are a part of the deep state idiots, of course they are against us",


Also Crag, I don't think you realise the damage to democracy such acts hold. They were directly threatening the legislature. That is not how democracy works. That is terrorism. They were domestic terrorists, unlike the rioters. That is the big difference here.

Again, I and many others never condoned the rioting all those months ago. It shouldn't have happened even though I empathise with their anger.

The fact you go beyond empathy but into full support of domestic terrorism really shows how much you actually care about democracy. Not very much at all.
