DNA + Syringe Guns
It'd be cool if you could put DNA injectors into a rapid/normal syringe gun.

Pretty sure they used to fit in there.
They don't anymore for a reason.

Instant hulk/x-ray/cold resistance. There's pro to your cons.ExplosiveCrate wrote:>instant ranged mute/blind/deaf/ko

Super powers are not a 100% sure thing once you inject yourself with them. They have a low chance to manifest. Turning someone into a monkey via a ranged attack with a 100% chance is just ridiculously OP for how easy it is to set up.

Re: DNA + Syringe Guns
Why would I ever want or need to do this? Hulk I guess, but ranged delivery of xray or TK sounds pointless.Toast33 wrote:Instant hulk/x-ray/cold resistance. There's pro to your cons.ExplosiveCrate wrote:>instant ranged mute/blind/deaf/ko

No, the ability to ranged monkey somebody with no counterplay out of "always wear a biosuit" is silly.

Git sum gud
It's a risk to allow someone to Syringe Gun you, or even point one in your direction.
Just the other day on Badger, some chemist with med HUD was running around shooting hurt people with tricord syringes. I was startled by it, and decided not to dent his skull in when I was suddenly healed. But I promised myself to slink away from anyone welding a gun, like a normal person would if he found himself on a space station.
It's not even that hard to dodge projectiles in this game, hell, I do it all the time on Badger. I run around as Pig Man, the pig mime, and do suspicious little pranks and let people empty tasers and eguns. What's a little syringe gun going to do? Not much of a difference.

Sometimes I emmag into the lethal injection room with a rapid syringe gun. Then the security force all mysteriously die.

Re: DNA + Syringe Guns
Syringe guns are most effective if your target doesn't realize you have one to begin with. Most of my successfully clean kills involved a quick tap with a syringe mix and they're down before they can even yell for help. Amazingly robust if you have the advantage of surprise.
