There's a process called purging that bottlenecked species can take.
Because the population is still exposed to the harsh conditions of nature, selection still takes place. In some bottleneck situations purging occurs and the population survives.
That's just a natural occurrence though, modern day technology allows us to completely forego natural evolution and selection.
I got a fucking burst blister on my foot and it's in the worst place possible, like right between the ball of my foot and the underside of my toes, up in between the toes as well so it won't stay dry and wound up going all gross and sore
like how the fuck am I supposed to dress that, I wound up just buying a bunch of finger bandages and wrapping the individual toes and cutting the extra length that wouldn't unroll into some awful makeshift mess of gauze and had to wrap pretty much my entire foot in tape to get the thing to stay put
You can probably buy some medicated dressings at your local drug store, basically big cotton wool pads that you can cut into shape so you can put them up between your toes.

on the arrival shuttle, I saw the iconic toolbox on the ground. I clubbed myself in the head with it trying to figure out the controls.
Setting the tool box, now bloodied, back on the table; I went to heal myself with a medkit. I clubbed myself in the head with that too.
I've come a long ways from asking how to switch hands.

You are a traitor!
Your current objectives:
Objective #1: They mocked you in life, a lesser janiborg they said. Now they shall know terror.
Objective #2: Hijack the shuttle to ensure no loyalist Nanotrasen crew escape alive and out of custody.

Been working on a spellchecker at work.
Testing it on some BBC articles.
There's a little bug at the moment with replacement indices, and newlines.
The way the checker works though, is if a previous correction allows for more corrections, it'll ask you to keep going.

I'm a lazy fucker and just use clippers, I gave up on trying to be neat and clean shaven a few years ago. Mainly 'cause there's this one patch under my chin where the hairs all grow in fucked-up directions for some reason and it's a pain in the arse to get them all.
This is the model I use, usually set it to 3mm then take the guard off to do my neck and cheeks because fuck it, it grows back too fast and if I try and maintain a completely clean-shaven look and end up missing a day because I'm running late then it's really obvious.
buddy its not hard. like literally all you gotta do is shave with the grain first, and then shave against the grain. (depending on what part of the face youre shaving, for the stache for example with the grain is down and against the grain is going up.)
just get some shaving cream, a good razor (could even be a safety razor just make sure its sharp) and just shave. just for the love of all that is holy never go sideways when its horizontal or you will cut yourself.
Just get some clippers and go over at the lowest setting.
You won't look like an unkept barbarian type like us beardies (and fuck any of you that think beards are for lazy people, takes a lot of effort to keep a beard evenly trimmed and tidy), whilst keeping a manly shadow instead of a smooth baby's arse cheek of a face.
ayy finally i ordered the first half of my summer manga list, came out to ~$480. waiting for another 20% sale for the other half and it'l be another ~$600 totalling 126 new books to add to my collection.
Noticed today that I can flex my left hand's ring finger without the others flexing with it, where as I can't with my right.
I'm going to blame osu! for this.
given my left hand is my tapping hand, and serves only to press keys on the keyboard at speed, where as my right hand is for aiming, and thus, doesn't have that skill.
though, it's not this finger that does the tapping, it's the middle + index, but I can't think of any other reason really.
I found that if I drink a lot of water my migraines are a lot less bad. Still have to take paracetamol occasionally, though, especially when the weather is bad.

I used to wonder "is this a migraine or just a bad headache" until the one day I actually did have a migraine and holy fuck there is no mistaking one for the other when you've actually gone through that shit.
a headache isn't a migraine. the difference between a headache and the migraine i get: it's always a sub-orbital behind the eye pain for me, and it comes in clusters, i'll have it every other day for a month period every night without fail.
it's hell, it actually makes me wish i stopped living to stop the pain sometimes, aspirin helps a bit but usually i just try and sleep it off. the pain is "manageable" if im in a completely dark room.
