Finally watched Rogue One.

It wasn't bad, wasn't great - better than Farce Awakens anyway.
But I can't help but wonder what the original, war movie-like, cut would've been like, before Disney butchered it and reshot half the scenes to make it more kid friendly.
We'll probably never see a directors cut given that its Star Wars and was published by Disney.

The ending felt really janky, lacked proper flow.

I've finally seen the Star Wars Rogue One, and fucking hell it was the worst thing I've seen in a while. It was a fan-tier trash. It was a Mass Effect 4 of Star Wars.

They took the mcguffin from New Hope and stretched it into whole plot fuck me. Who gives A FUCK how rebels got the death star plans. And there's so many fucking characters I don't care about. I don't even remember any of their names, except for krennick because he was an actual person who showed more than one emotion (contempt, anger, fear). I fucking laughed when any of them died. The funniest was that mexican in the shuttle who died like a bitch because someone tossed a grenade in. But when blind Chink started doing his shit I got angry. REMEMBER NEW HOPE? REMEMBER THE TRENCH RUN HOW LUKE TRUSTED THE FORCE? FUUUUCK.

And every fucking 10 seconds someone has to praise the fucking force. The force bomb is literally dropped twice in the first 5 minutes of the movie, while in New Hope it was said maybe three times. Literally retconning original trilogy because of the prequels. Fuck, I bet they gonna do it in that Han Solo movie, despite Jedi being a hokey religion.

Remember the protagonist arc climax in New Hope? It was Luke becoming a hero, learning that force was the real deal and shit. Empire? A duel with Vader, both with swords and words. Depth of the characters revealed. Return? Confrontation with Emperor, Luke doesn't get corrupted, helps his father redeem himself. Force Awakens? Basically the same as Hope, Rey learns that she is one of the force.

Plot climax in Rogue One? Two characters struggle for 40 minutes to get a ZIP drive with some pdf docs from a shelf, and then the heroine gets wifi online. Fucking kek. Who gives a fuck.

Supposedly Disney ordered a lot of scenes reshot because they were too graphic and warlike for their intended kiddy audience.

it's a one time teleport you get, it was put in place to help new players

yes it's a one-time teleport if you say No or X out the window then you're walking across like eleven kilometers to get to our settlement
the meditating paths also give you a Teleport To Home every 18 hours, excluding Path of Insanity which gives you a Teleport To Random Tile On The Island instead

I find it really relaxing but I will absolutely be the first to admit that I am a pussy and play Unlimited

more so because >subscription fees in 2017 than anything else, but the increased action timers is a nice bonus

it's a damn fine grind though, nothing is more satisfying than actually having an impact on the map and making friends, it's one of the last old school mmos

you actually recognize your neighbours/people who are good at specific jobs/etc

i rolled a WO character with a yoyo affinity once, its not related but everyone laugh at me

you need a one-time teleport, especially when you're recruiting - our settlement is a two hour boat ride from the nearest starter town, and that's with perfect winds the whole way

oh I know you can buy premium but I don't have the time to consistently log on within my membership and make stuff to sell, nor do I find it overly interesting - it's not that it's not possible, I just don't really want to do it, I'd rather pay $30 or whatever once and have a game I can play whenever I want with no issues

I was afraid I'd miss the sense of community but the server I usually play on feels like WO anyways so it's never been a big deal to me
