Had a 2+ year break, what's new?
Hey, I have been playing /tg/station on and off a few years back and generally stopped around 2 years ago. After skimming the wiki it seems that most things are familiar, or at least recognizable, is there anything particular I should pay attention to?

more seriously, we actually have a functioning changelog system now, so maybe you should check that out.
in short:
2 new modes, gang and shadowling
changeling is fucking awful (or awfuller)
2 new secondary antagonists, slaughter demons and ayyliens
gravity generator
AI is on a sat again
stuns have been reworked a little/a lot
new chemicals
genetics is ass and nobody can be bothered to fix it
borgs have generally been nerfed
chef has been expanded
RD can upgrade machines

we've got a whole new crafting system called table crafting
people now have a stamina stat of sorts
stun bolts are now short range only, but all tasers have a new mode of fire called disable
disabler bolts go through glass and deal stamina damage, if you take too much stamina damage you collapse on the floor
Nullquery is slowly updating our popup windows to leave the 90s (check out the new crew monitor)
you can now pick lizards at roundstart and make them look like a formless blob of pixels
hardsuits now have their helmets integrated into them, so we're getting ever closer to a Cease & Desist from EA Games for ripping off Dead Space
I created airlock painters! yay me!
I also enabled furries! but it's admin only
you can augment your limbs and body, coming within a hair's breadth of dismemberment
Cargo can order a new toy called Super Matter, it's super dangerous and it always ends badly, but you can generate power with it
if some chucklefuck has the brilliant idea to throw the super matter into the singularity the entire server will know

Also, there's an admin-only catbeast race, we have plasmamen (I don't know the details, but I think it's FIRE EVERYWHERE if you take off their suits), and the lizard problem is escalating.

We're also implementing public logs to help players with ban appeals and we actually have a semi-functioning form of democracy on how we select headmins every 6 months.

We have some new improvised weapons such as a pneumatic cannon.
Science got a few new toys like implanted xray vision and no-drop implants.
Science can upgrade machines all over the station to improve their uses.
Science is also master of the entire station when they upgrade a crusher since it spits out everything but uranium, and soon diamonds, when it's full upgraded.
Wizards got new toys like a lich's phylactery, blood vial to summon a demon, and other fun spells.
Thanks to one guy we found out how broken Poly acid was and nerfed it.
Traitors got their own bomb implant nothing could go wrong from this Everything went wrong, it's now reserved for nuke ops.
Guns now require firings pens to function, leading to a new range of pens like loyalty implant pens.
We're getting closer and closer to having dismemberment
We have the occasional Emergency Response Team. Which is kind of like death squad, only with more helping and slightly less death.

I'm still around after all these years.
Xenos have gotten lots and lots and lots of polish and bug fixing.
We just redid table/wall smoothing so you can finally put tables in any direction you can think of.
We're on the verge of getting BEEEEEEES
Away missions are still dead but kor and I are working on overhauling that and merging with mining.
Also kor is back.
Mining is no longer bulk mining, rather you find small patches of very little materials, and often have to fight monsters for it.
This is counteracted by machine upgrades from science that make machines so unbelievably moronically efficient and fast.
Cult is basically probably still mostly the same as it was 2 years ago, no one knows what to do with it.
Changeling is still boring as shit but it's very rare to have it alone, it usually comes in the form of traitor/ling mode instead.
I also finally drew the xeno maid.
I put one on the station once in a blue moon and everyone screams.
Oh, speaking of that, ERP is currently banable because "I don't like it" from the inactive headmins 6 months ago. You can try to make a vote to undo that.
Also we have an actual sound guy! The first and only sound guy we've ever had! Say hi to cuboos and the fantastic new sound effects.

Game is no longer a laggy unplayable mess at the best of times.
HG slowed everything down and severed ties between coderbus and the station, then pulled a HG and it came back and eventually got kicked for being inactive, is now headcoder again.
