If people are not able to communicate, it can lead to danger because the crew is not aware of active threats.

I think mechs should lean into being powerful but limiting. You don't get to use any handheld tools while in one, and you don't meaningfully benefit from any chems or other bonuses you can get as an organic humanoid. But you have a powerhouse vehicle that can mount helpful equipment or weapons.

The sub-point of the mech destruction experiments was to serve as a way for players to get a good working example of how much damage you can deal to a mech while on foot. Toolboxes are surprisingly effective in a relatively short time if you don't get hit in the meantime.

It would be neat if it didn't require a ghost under nominal situations. Like, it's a special egg that spawns braindead/simple intelligence xenos, and then you expose the mobs to a gas that causes them to replicate or whatever to promote harvesting and too much gas mutates them into gaining sentience.

Currently, admins can manually set the expiration date of notes, and we should keep that functionality. Additionally, we do occasionally use record keeping notes that aren't about player conduct (such as when a player changes accounts) that would need to be permanent.

Cutting AI wires on doors doesn't prevent the AI from using them; there's just a long delay with a bunch of flufftext about hacking the airlock the first time an AI clicks on a door with the wire cut.
