Should extended stay? It was removed and is now back as of recent. Do the players of artyom want it to remain or not?
Pretty simple question. If you don't understand it your vote will probably be wasted anyway.
We DO have 2 hour mark crew transfer shuttles if you want to oocly vote on a shuttle call.

I do not have a problem with keeping Extended. It usually turns out to be either Admin mode, or grief fest. Honestly, I do not have strong feelings either way.

I've noticed that extended tends to empty the server which is bad for obvious reasons. Has happened frequently in the past few days. Especially bad when we get 20+ players ready just for boring extended round.
The argument that "admins can run events during extended" is pretty weak aswell. There's times where there's no admins, there's times where the admins don't feel like running an event and when they do, they can just force extended anyway.

Why, just the other day, I was an Assistant that got promoted to Captain, encouraged Engineering to use a superpressurized canister of burnmix to burn Clown Planet to the ground (and then burn the ground), played judge, jury, and executioner for the Chief Engineer's war crimes trial (Can't be war crimes without war!), quashed a half-handful of malcontents who dared to question the glorious Nanotrasen justice system, got the shuttle called, and burned escape with a superpressurized canister of burnmix.

During any of those other modes if you're competent. A lot of the time doing your job during those modes can counter them. If RnD gets shit done during blob they can shit on the blob easily. If engineering is competent they can reverse atmos floods by malf ais and remove shocked doors and shit and help the crew. Cargo can order insulated gloves for everyone.
Once you realize that doing your job during extended basically amounts to nothing you come to miss the chaos.

Extended is usually one of the most chaotic round types. And I love it because of that.
Out of every 3 peaceful extended rounds, you get that one extended round.
You are on fire, dual welding eguns while running away from the clown who's space lubing everyone into escape that is filled with medibots. And all of those medibots have big beaker ethanol loading in them for honk value.
The above is just an example of how crazy some extended rounds can get. Throw in daring admins pressing buttons to support and/or start gimmicks, and you have rounds that are infinitely more fun then almost all other game modes.

3 to 6 hour rounds. On the off chance that you die (especially if its through no real fault on your own) then its a long, long, long time until you are able to play again.
Not fun at all. At least on normal rounds they usually last like what, 2 to 3 hours at most? So if you do die, the station is usually at unfixable levels of fuckary due to antags fucking with shit.

The average round on /nt/ lasts for around 60 minutes statistically speaking.
In addition I would not try and make a connection to the addition of Extended to the surge in server activity, as noted Sybil and Artyom both were down for extended periods of time recently due to the servers being updated. As such that would naturally see a large increase in user activity to play on the servers.

Extended is an oddball like that. I dont want to hear any claims of "BUT WHAT ABOUT ANTAGS WHO DONT WANT TO FUCK OVER THE STATION" as most antags want that glorious green text to some extent. The longer you wait around, the larger the chance of someone beating you or you failing your objectives for any number of reasons. As such, its in your best intrest to do things like weld+screwdriver all doors or shove a bomb in sec and yell that some asshole bombed sec, your choice.

Around this time before I left we would of had 15-20 people on artyom.
Now the most we have is 5-10 people, tops.
In the middle of what was once the busiest season of ss13.
For a game of extended to be "fun" we'd need at least 15-20 people so it's not just talking to the same guy the entire shift.

It's dying, and the quicker everyone realises this and does something about it the less damage is done. Generally people notice it's dead when it's far too late and the damage has already been done.
