Atmos and Vents
Make the Air-APC or whatever it's called and give it a function to close/open all or certain vents in the determined area. This allows the ai to trap and gas liggers without causing hewmen ham.
To be robust is not about combat prowess, it is the state of readiness for the situation at hand.

Preeeety sure the AI can already use air alarms
In game, I play the A.I Firmware, the French cyborg C.U.R.I.E, Aubrie Allen, and the lizard scum Skulks-Through-Maintenance.

Re: Atmos and Vents
I think he wants the ability to somehow put plasma in distro and not have it spill out of every vent, and then cycle it back out of distro magically.

Re: Atmos and Vents
This is already entirely possible. Each vent can be turned on/off individually, the same as with each scrubber. Take some time to play around with an unlocked air alarm, and you will be pleasantly surprised!

Re: Atmos and Vents
As far as I'm aware, there is no close/open ALL vents button
Also, I'd like the ability to change the settings on every vent connected to the air alarm at once, instead of one at a time like it is now

Use the "Refill" option to increase vent output, "Flood" option (with emag/Malf AI ability), and "Off" option to disable all the vents.Takeguru wrote:As far as I'm aware, there is no close/open ALL vents button

Re: Atmos and Vents
Having a button to set the operating mode on large groups of air alarms at a time from atmo would be useful as hell.
Check boxes for which alarms you want to affect then hit off/fill/filter/siphon/whatever. Obviously you'd have to use the specific alarm if you wanted to control individual vents.
If you wanted a minor QOL boost to the AI, let it ctrl/shift-click vents and scrubbers to toggle them if the air alarm they're connected to is one they can control.
