Simply put, many have complained that this ability is OP. In response, I am ready to either nerf or remove it entirely.
The following nerfs I would make are:
EDIT: Revised nerf below!
- Airlocks are no longer shocked
- Cost doubled to 40 CPU time.
- Bolted airlocks will have their bolt light status unchanged (The lights will be on unless turned off beforehand)
- Opening/Closing code optimized to reduce lag potential.
- Fire doors are now closed without activating the alarm, making them much less annoying.
- Short cooldown introduced for performance reasons.

I am posting this edit to the nerf because the results of the post hosted here are in conflict with those of usednapkin's poll, as well as a close result between the 'No change' and 'Nerf' options

Remove shocking of all the doors. Insulated gloves are comparitively rare, and most jobs have no real business having them 'muh power gaem'. Shock doors fuck people so hard, if the AI wants to do that, it can do it manually.

Please. You can nearly break out/in a good portion of the station by just bashing stuff with an airtank. An even greater portion can be accessed with a set of tools, not to mention using disposals. After everyone knows they are shocked it's hardly even a threat anymore.

I have rebalanced this feature as outlined above. Keeping the ability to lock and unlock at will, but at an increased price and no shocking.
