Wizard Idea

What if we took off a little of the focus on leveling the station as wizard by giving them some abilities of subversion to complete their tasks? Wizards are often known to be secluded, manipulating others to do their work so it ties in well. I had the idea of a "Sire Student" spell. When cast on a crew member, they get a prompt saying "Do you want to learn from this wizard?". Clicking yes teaches them a spell you select from your arsenal. It also gives them an objective of "<Wizard> has gifted you a great power, but there's a catch! Follow their orders... or else!". You can then give them their mission to steal shit, kill shit, whatever. The catch to them is you are able make them kill themselves at any time.

I Thought something like this would be a good idea so wizards aren't something to immediately valid kill. For this to work it would have to be pretty costly. Maybe make it so the spell you teach to them takes a little longer for you to recharge. It would already take up a spell slot just having the spell though. Killing the student shouldn't restore the recharge rate, so it gives reason to really be careful who you sire.

I always thought spawn magic/magic items were a cool step in the right direction for someone who doesn't really like to play MURDERMAGE. Ideas? I'm aware wizard is pretty hated as it is.
