In case of ALIUM, cut toxins.

So I played a round as a solo ALIUM a while ago, and choose drone. You start with like 50 plasma stored, and i wasted it all in my first action, destroying an airlock. So, without weeds, i dont regenerate it, so i needed to find another source. I ventcrawled into the athmos system, specifically into the toxins chamber, and instantly generated 5000 (i think thats the maxcap) stored plasma, and i could instantevolve into queen.

My question is, knowing how powerfull that can be, if I am allowed to unwrench the in and out pipe of toxins in athmos, when i hear someone shouting "ALIUM!" in radio.

edit: I adminhelped in that situation, but i assume the admin was at that time afk, so i got no answer.

That is a really edge case scenario that I don't think will ever really be a problem, unlike the AI, Aliens do very well on their own.

Not to mention its a really ingenious scenario, never thought to try it. But aside from spitting out thousands of weeds its not a massive advantage, considering a Drone can quickly get enough plasma to evolve into a Queen.

Seeing as xenos can easily get into those chambers without the pipes I wouldn't say there's much against unwrenching the pipes provided you have reason to believe there are actually xenos around.

are we talking about the same plasma chamber here last i checked xenos cant destroy r walls.

I myself would prefer to ready the chanber to burn the first thing to enter.

The external gas tanks in atmos have a single window in them, they're not rwalls all the way around.

If you see a xeno in the plasma tank, ask the AI to overload lights in atmos and watch them burn

Pipe oxygen into the tank, then ignite?

I guess you could just reconfigure the filters and then pump oxygen into the waste loop

the queen would probably notice you dicking with pipes though

EDIT: now that I think about it if there's an alien in the plasma tank I think you could just unwrench the in and out plasma pipes and it'd be stuck in there? you'd have to catch them in the act but wrenching is faster than ventcrawling

Ventcrawler can escape out of broken pipes.

If you really want to trap em in there, move a little further down the line and replace a pipe with a vent then weld it.

of course it wont be anywhere near enough to have a burn for any decent amount of time.

one time I saw a larva in the plasma tank and wanted to burn it but the crew was all no wheres theres one theres always more and said we had to escape

of course now I know atmos better I would be able to quickly burn them then escape
