Cyberware/Bioware

Post by Bombadil » #100905

So... I may or may not be ripping this straight from Shadowrun.

A few of these are defense based. Quite a few are disguise based. TC cost depends on what you think is balanced

Traitor Cyberware(Should be if its electronic based):

Smart Articulation: Allows you to fit your body into holes as large as your head(You can now enter vents). You are now slightly slower now though. If Possible being able to weld holes in walls could make this also a way to slip through into a department without an emag.

Orthoskin: Is the man bringing you down with his Harmbaton? Inject this and your Skin will become tougher and more resistant to lasers and physical damage.

Flex Hand: Can break free of cuffs if your standing still for 5 seconds(Replaces liberty implant)

Dermal Plating: Armored plates grafted to your skin. Gives high armor and laser resistance but its pretty damn obvious.

Monofilament Whip Finger Compartment(20 tc): If there is a god he looks at you in disgust when you use this weapon. This weapon penetrates through armor and does massive damage capable of limb dismemberment and decapitation(Whenever dismemberement comes in). Has an X% chance to fail and hit you instead. If emp'd whip cannot be hidden and releases from its compartment.

Smuggling Compartment: You can smuggle shit in this... If you ever get stripped it will be easily noticeable that you have this compartment installed in you. Great for stealing missions... or suicide bombings.

Fiber Optic Hair: You can change your hair color at will

Face Mask: Installed underneath your face it takes 30 seconds to create a new face. If you get emp'd your face becomes putty and its obvious you have this cyberware

Voice Modulator: Fancier Voice Changer inside of your throat

Chameleon Skin: Change your ethnicity! Change your skintype to scales! Warning: Does not come with ligger tail

Lizard Tail: Attach directly to jumpsuit or buy the more expensive version (1tc more) to have a REAL ligger tail

Agreed, this game needs more implants than just metal limbs and HUDs.

I might take a look at it actually.

on the arrival shuttle, I saw the iconic toolbox on the ground. I clubbed myself in the head with it trying to figure out the controls.
Setting the tool box, now bloodied, back on the table; I went to heal myself with a medkit. I clubbed myself in the head with that too.
I've come a long ways from asking how to switch hands.

The HoP just toolboxes someone to death out of nowhere, then gets speared by a chemist who saw him murder a guy, then the chemist gets beaten to death because someone else saw him kill the HoP.
Tele-man somehow dies and gets its looted by an atmos tech who managed to use it to send two nuke ops to lavaland, who were then surrounded by several very angry people from earlier and some extra golems on top of it.
Captain dies, gets cloned/revived, lasers the guy holding the disk into crit to take it back.
Some idiot tries to welderbomb the AI hiding out at mining for no discernible reason.
Two permabans and a dayban, i'm expecting a snarky appeal from one of them soon. What the fuck.

Nobody uses it though. Which means something needs to be changed if you want to see it in the game.

Nobody uses it because the playerbase complained they were superOP, unfair to genetics, and spammable. Therefore they got gated to need traitor kit or alien brains ( at which point the shift is over)

Thermal implants now need Illegal Tech 5, not 4, so you can't get it without medium-tier Syndicate gear (e.g. EMP flashlight). You can still get x-ray by deconstructing thermal implants, though.

Isn't it biotech 5 for thermals, and 6 for x-ray? Deconstructing thermals gives you origin of Biotech 5, meaning an actual level of 6.

And, yes, thermal goggles counts as illegal technology so you can get Illegal up. It's still a mid-level traitor item.
