Round starts.
The posters spawned weirdly, so I ahelped about it. The staff member didn’t even check it and rejected the ticket—I'm guessing because I worded it weirdly.
FC decides, "You know what, the last mission went horribly, so we’ll cade the ship and have some fun."
Central Command, who I assume is the trial mod, says, "No, screw that, we’re going to execute FC soon."
So, every marine goes along with the whole “death with the FC” thing.
Then the trial mod, instead of playing fair and having fun, just teleports FC away.
I make a joke in OOC saying, “boo the admins.”
OOC gets immediately muted.
I ahelp about that.
They tell me to stop ahelping over nonsense.
I explain thoroughly why I ahelped and why my first ahelp wasn’t nonsense.
They respond with a rude message, so I respond with a cheeky one.

The PM gets closed.
We deploy normally.

After deployment, the shutters get opened.
So I pray, “Can you unmute OOC?”
But instead of a response—or even no response—I get muted from OOC, adminhelp, mentorhelp, and prayers.

This feels… quite childish on the trial admin’s part.
"Note: I had to ask how to file an admin complaint in the Discord general channel because I was muted from every OOC channel in-game, including mentorhelp."

First Ahelp of the round.



For your first Ahelp i agree i probably should have instead told you to submit a bug report on Github instead of just rejecting your Ahelp.


I was not the admin who was involved in the FC ticket nor did the Centcom announcement.
Admins aren't going to use in game punishments for issues because generally it will lead to players griefing just to get admins to intervene with deathsquad and the like.
You were not the only player talking about the FC in OOC which was the reason it was turned off in the first place.
The reason you were muted from OOC Ahelp and Prays, Was because of both the first Ahelp and the fact you prayed less than 30 seconds after i closed your ticket to turn on OOC.
Normally i wouldn't even bother muting you from OOC but the round was ongoing and you directly Ahelped about the FC so i didn't want you just randomly talking about current round info in OOC.
Also the discord has a help channel for reasons like you said, We cannot choose to only mute ahelps or mhelps they are both muted when we choose ahelp mute.

Some of my own thoughts and perspective of the situation.

First before anything else I was the one handling marqe (aka FC) situation, also muted ooc. Rest was done by tivi

I agree with such stuff being very fun and I try to do that whenever I can, but I was too busy looking at rules to bother with FC / asleeping /executing them, as such would cause more issues if I was wrong with rulings.

Should've used mooc(marine ooc) for that instead of ick ocking and again I was quite busy to unmute it later, and there was no need to do that as its not needed during the game.

Less childish more of unexperienced, which Im sorry for not looking after them so I partially agree on Tivi being wrong here - but we are under no obligation to unmute ooc as its not needed during game.

He's right in this point so while muting you from prayers and ahelps was a wrong move, ooc mute is acceptable as you might've ick ocked again etc.

Don't have anything more to add from myself, apart from sorry for not looking at tmin more during the ticket.
Rest is kinda on you for ick ocking and making a shitty ahelp instead of describing the issue.

Hello k4rl,

Admins are not obligated to RP out punishments/administrative actions. Further prying in game to admin actions are instead best handled in a complaint/appeal, otherwise you are liable to be muted from these methods of communication. Thus, the only real issue here was the posters which he could have told you to report that on the Github issues page--which he understood.
