I'm writing this complaint because I feel that permitting a restricted antag like changeling to utilize the hulk mutation to rampage through the station is in violation of multiple rules. I also don't believe that this constitutes a rule 0 precedent of making the round better, as having hulk as a ling renders you functionally invincible because you do not suffer damage slowdown, you do not suffer stuns, and you do not suffer knockdown. It's a miserable experience for everyone involved on the same level as fortnite roboticist. Not the least of all, it's a rampaging restricted antagonist on the MRP server; I'm personally struggling to see what standard we actually have for MRP nowadays but it feels outside the scope of this particular post to speculate on that.

I'd like to quote from logs to support what it is I'm saying, but public logs are no longer accessible as far as I know. There were 29 dead at roundend.

I haven't looked at the logs and I am just taking the OP as gospel truth since Isratosh hasn't disputed it.

Admins have the discretion to convert potential rule breaks into events, or to allow them if they feel the rules are getting in the way of a cool SS13 moment. Rule 0 is a very powerful rule in this respect.

Speaking individually, I don't think the headmin team are super interested in policing that to any major extent.

So I'm going to put my -1 to reject this complaint.

But I'm not without sympathy so I'm still going to go into a lecture against someone who has adminned SS13 for like a billion more years than I have.

I'd like to ask Isratosh and MRP admins in general to be cautious when Rule 0ing antag rampages and over-escalation, broadly speaking.

Admin processes tend to be invisible to players and the RP server was broadly founded and popularised on the basis that senseless murder rampages may not always make for peak SS13 gameplay or roleplay, hence why common dynamic spammable antags tend to be restricted.

Many players disliked the LRP arms race gameplay loop of two factions trying to out powergame eachother and came to the RP servers looking for a subversion of those tropes rather than a reinforcement of them.

Also keep in mind that the rest of our players are still going to play like all the other server rules apply. And they may not like admin allowed Rule 0 scenarios where they feel like they now need to break, bend or bypass their comfort zone of following the rules to compete.
