there had to be some sort of misunderstanding here i simply do not believe that something like this is possible to misunderstand let me go down the list

"As a non-antag assistant, built a mech to break into the armory"
this is a massive stretch of logic beyond any imagination that i could've expected. i had originally built the mech because having a big giant fat mech is fucking awesome.

why was i in the armory? 5 minutes prior, i was in a standoff against a paddy & 2 other secoffs at the entrance to permabrig saying "hey man. do you mind releasing those two i dont think they did anything wrong." do note that at the time, i had swapped my durand off of a tesla cannon for a disabler for the express purpose of handling the situation with as few lethals as possible as security cannot infact roll antag. we were in this standoff like a fucking looney tunes bit for 5 minutes and then the other paddy comes over, seemingly getting bored or paranoid that i was going to do something starts laying his 2 mech lasers into my durand. he is in a paddy. how do you handle another mech? you shoot the fucking mech until they either get out/break. naturally this standoff then turns into a shootout in which the paddy retreats. he enters the armory. i enter the armory taking the paddy out. i am then ion gunned and magdumped to death by a lasgun. either there was a misunderstanding somewhere in the ahelp logs, or somebody else had misunderstood my intentions with the mech

i built a ripley earlier. a fellow tider jury-rigged it into a paddy & i put a disabler & holding cell on it. my intention was to grab wilson rash, put him in the holding cell, walk around for a minute & then release him and walk off. this was because i was instantaneously magdumped with a full lasgun despite using nothing but the disabler on everything but the paddy. granted this was evil durand in evila rmory but i wanted to go poke fun at the goblin for killing me instantaneously. after this when the round was about to end i was ahelped, asked a few questions, responded and was then unceremoniously banned without being questioned further about my side

i expect 10 shillings & 3 pences as compensation for this misgiving

saprasam is probably forgetting one detail or another so somebody should probably log-dive to confirm if im true or false

pasting every single attack log i had in a round & telling me to 'sort through it' to find my 'excessive' use of force isn't important to the ban. the crux of the ban ultimately comes down to me using the mech to 'break' into the armory (i didn't). logdumping every single attack log i had in a round, including those from the conflicts that ultimately didn't factor into the ban is poor faith behaviour

do note the giant, swathes of text saying " fired the disabler beam at [floor] with the �CH-DS "Peacemaker" disabler from �KILLASSINATOR", though

You have probably have taken a good look at the logs.

So after reviewing more of the logs as I had to deal with very long ticket. You were there to break free Nick to my understanding, but at no point did you stop to consider where the line was. The line for security in this case was when you hit the captain with your disabler gun. You have used the laser part, not on anyone in particular. Just walls and windows and airlocks

So I'll fix the note to be more accurate to what happened with all of that. But the ban stays as you were utterly antagonizing security in a rogue mechs. When you went back to security with the paddy, that was bruised ego and on the shuttle itself, I see that you were still going after Wilson for no good reason. This is a rule 1 break.
An average yellow rock hater and the main reason you may get your shuttle recalled.

this was a randomly selected section of the attack logs when it came to the disabler. the line was ultimately not infact "disablering the captain", as he was hit in the crossfire, the line was entering the armory to knock out the paddy, which alerted the horde of 5-6 secoffs just lounging in the rightside of security completely unaware of what was happening to the left (???)

'utterly' antagonizing? the upper limit of what i had done to security was get the guy out of the paddy & fire disablers at security while doing the equivalent of saying 'ooooh im gonna get you! you better do what i say or im gonna get you! ooooh im gonna get you bro' (do note, every time this has happened was AFTER i had been shot with lethal force)

this was, again, after i was shot into crit by wilson rash after showing up to the brig window to ineffectively bash on it for 2 minutes because wilson rash had something more important to deal with at the moment.
i had shot him with the ion as it is quite literally fucking harmless & does practically jack and shit. there's no worry about radio issues, or issues with danger on the shuttle as NOTHING was happening besides me firing a volley of ions into him

As a non-antag assistant, built a mech to break into the armory, died in the armory then got spared to medical to make another mech to harass brig more. Please consider not griefing security in the future.

Please consider in the future, not to excessively antagonize security with mechs and use words to understand a situation.

again. in what way? from my perspective i had seen & heard nothing but excessive & wanton grief on the two players culminating in a secoff just up & grabbing a fireaxe and smashing the whole project to smithereens (AGAIN. FROM WHAT I COULD SEE & HEAR FROM ANECDOTES. PUBLIC LOGS ARE BROKEN). i broke into security mainly under the impression that yes, security was infact doing what security does best & being the stereotypical shitcurity archetype & putting their a-game into enforcing the 'law' in whatever way they could against two people in an attempt to handle what i perceived as direct antagonization on them doing their own thing by sitting in a durand and saying "hey man you should release those two i think they did nothing wrong" while flaunting my shitty mech disabler at the secoffs.

there is a distinct difference between minorly inconveniencing somebody with the "WORLD'S WORST MECH" (paddy) and making a concerted effort to put as much effort into preventing security from doing their job. i can understand believing that the first mech was just 'le grief cuz sec le bad' but i earnestly believe that i was in my right to standoff against security after what i'd heard and seen ingame.

the second mech was for all intents & purposes the most ineffectual attempt at being a threat ever. it was a minor inconvenience that was solved in maybe 1 minute flat

i did not make a third mech, either. that was nick johnson's mech that was just outside the AI upload that i decided to hold control over until he got revived, which i then used to ion gun the HoS (HARMLESS) a few times in the shuttle before nick got revived

i would much rather prefer for an IC issue to not be on my rather extensive note/ban list in the first place.

Hello! It might be little comfort at this point, given that this is expired, but I have looked into this issue and have discussed with ians that I take issue with ban and note.

From Ticket #8 during round 232178 on Sybil:

The mechs weren't being made to do anything greater than annoy, and saprasam spoke politely to the security officers before firing off disablers, and only went for lethals after another secoff went for lethals (which you could certainly argue was against the rules, retaliating against sec for doing their job). The second mech was taken out pretty easily by the HoS (not that it was using lethals either), and the third was just used for impotently firing ions at the HoS on the emergency shuttle.

I think this note paints the player unfairly, and I don't like that they were banned with no further dialogue after being asked for their side of the story.
