Restricting Antagonists on Lowpop LRP
Low population rounds are inherently broken by the lack of players to make the station functional or provide effective resistance against antagonists, basically giving them free reign to do whatever except for murderbone (killing people for zero IC reason and whatnot); https://tgstation13.org/wiki/Headmin_Ru ... st_Rulings
This is lame for everyone and makes people not want to play, and the restrictions should be more clearly laid out, like as a rule of its own or a precedent of an existing rule.
My hot take is to bring MRP antag restrictions over to LRP at <27 pop and see how that does

Re: Restricting Antagonists on Lowpop LRP
I do agree that low population breaks the game loop.
As stated in the last low pop talk, lowpop murderbone is notable and then bannable.
What I would like to know:
The magical estimated range of numbers that is classified as low pop.
If we did do MRP antag restrictions to the low population standard.
Would those restrictions be in for the entire round or would they loosen up at a good population number?
Would murdering off medical that wasn't your objective count as a indirect murderbone? As far as I am aware, no medical is essentially being round remove.
Also I call for restrictions on acting heads as in being progressive traitors in those rounds, as there is maybe a few to stop someone with access to armory and baton roundstart, coupled with their traitor loadout. But taking action does usually round remove either side.

Re: Restricting Antagonists on Lowpop LRP
i'm really not sure if it's feasible to factor in mrp rules conditionally on lrp like this - i sincerely doubt the majority of lrp players would be happy to be held to mrp rules when they specifically chose to play lrp.
but the core of this proposal in that we could reduce the prevalence of antags or the specific types of antags that spawn depending on population is a lot more grounded and is something we could possibly do based on feedback here and whether or not lukas is physically capable of turning down threat instead of cranking it up.

Re: Restricting Antagonists on Lowpop LRP
Enacting MRP restrictions is just another way of saying "Ban lowpop murderboning", which is already actionable by admins. If you had some other sort of restriction in mind, which does not appear to be the case after reviewing RPR5 and it's precedents, you need to lay it out more clearly for the point of this discussion.
If it isn't being enforced, that probably means that there are no admins online, which makes sense, because lowpop hours are probably when everyone, including admins, are asleep. Contrary to popular belief, admins are people too.
So the only way to actually get what you want OP, is to either apply for admin yourself, or push for more of other people to be admins who are active during the hours you want this enforced. There are no other solutions, again, unless you had some other restriction in mind you neglected to lay out for us.

Re: Restricting Antagonists on Lowpop LRP
we find that this sort of rule enforcement isn't compatible with the expectations of lrp - antag restrictions specifically are the core of our mrp ruleset, and lowpop large scale murder is already something admins should be actioning on lrp. oftentimes it's the case where there aren't many admins online to handle situations like this as they happen. but if there are no admins online, then we encourage users to still place urgent ahelps, as it creates a ticket and pings us on discord, which we can investigate and try to resolve after the fact when someone is available to look at it.
