Referencing the gamemode ICly

It's OOC in IC if you say something similar to "It's revs" but it's okay if you say "There is a revolution." Basically make it sound like you're not referencing the fact that you're in a round.

That being said enough of the times that I've ahelped it it's either not responded to or treated as an annoyance that I don't really bother anymore.

Actually, Not entirely policy related, But it's gotten to a point of meta where pretending to be another antag type can cause the crew to go nuts. On the flipside, people often just ASSUME revs if the greytide or most of the station get into a fucking civil war with the rest of the crew. That happened this month, It was not revs, and people were breaking in, killing eahother, killing sec, breaking into brig and armoury... Jesus christ.

Yep. Mainly because it's so outlandish that the wizard wouldnt be doing anything and would be yammering over comms instead of doing anything.

I remember one round hardly a 2 weeks ago where sec and command handed out guns, all-access, called the shuttle and changed the AI's (myself) laws because one traitor used the PDA bomb near the beginning of the round. People are really quick to use meta-tells but I dunno if that's something that policy CAN change.

There are already two policies in place:

Fake Revolutions - Faking a revolution always causes grief, without fail. If someone is pretending to be a revolutionary, feel free to murder them. If I find someone faking a revolution as a non-antag, they can prepare to catch a rule 1 ban for being a griefing shitter.

That being said I personally am not offended, if somebody uses the dreaded i-word in an IC sentence. If you want to be safe, just cut down your sentences to "REVS", "WIZ", "OPS" etc or use ebonics and say "This be X". Add questionmarks, if you want to ask what type of danger the station is facing. The policy causes pointless overhead to the admins to begin with and only place where its useful is for sniping specific people with selective notes/bans.

Honestly for revs in particular you can only blame how the mode itself plays for that kind of reaction. If the rev heads are good sec has a very short time frame to get things under control before the snowball is too great for them to have a chance of stopping. If sec doesn't start going full mindshield and cracking down on any tiding on the first mention of revs the round will be over before sec even started to get ready to control the revs.

Just because you don't get a response doesnt mean it hasn't been dealt with.
At least from my perspective, I'll just see those tickets, check the player logs of whoever you reported and deal with it, its not a big thing that requires a mass back and forth to corroborate stories kind of deal.
