But yeah, like everyone else had said, epic games store. Would have happily bought it straight from the dev like I did starsector but guess that wasn't something they thought off.

Supposedly I've heard that Epic is more favourable to Game Devs while Steam and GoG and such are more favourable to customers.

Which I feel isn't necessarily bad... If not for Epic providing an inferior platform that is worse and less secure than Steam from ten years ago.

That is technically correct
Epic gives devs a much larger share of the profits to the devs, and promises a minimum amount of sales(If the game sells less, Epic buys the copies) in addition to straight up paying in cash
But this comes with no support anywhere and none of the features Steam developed over time such as the steam forums, easy multiplayer hosting/joining, Steam support, reviews, the large userbase Steam gives access to and all the other stuff
Epic also has put games on sale against the devs' wishes, discounting games without ever telling them about it until the devs forced Epic to stop that. They did stop when told to, but that does not exactly inspire confidence

Oh and I ""acquired"" the game and it wasn't even very good, definitely just steamer bait. Got up to the restaurant part (I think it's the last or second to last level) in about an hour when I finally got bored

i bought it on the switch and i had a few complaints
-you can only play with the same few mechanics for so long. if there was actually a penalty for being caught i think it'd make things slightly more interesting (and play on more to the stealth element), but you can really just spam bite and run away with whatever they just took and everything's fine and dandy (assuming they don't catch up)
-the to-do lists are pretty repetitive, all of them play out pretty similarly even though the enviroments are different. also the "gather many things in one spot" parts are the worst
-there's absolutely no replay value. after you get all the to-dos done (including the special ones after the end) you get a crown. neat. but what now? nothing. short length isn't necessarily bad for games but it was really disappointing when i got to the end

despite what i just said, there's quite a few positives to the game too
-it's a pretty unique experience. as far as i'm aware there's no other games in existence that let you play as a goose fucking up everybody's day
-there's a surprising attention to detail and most props in the world have an interaction, even if they're completely useless and provide no point other than flavor (i mostly think of the chimes in the garden in the 3rd level when i say this, but there's things like the radio and the harmonica)
-it refuses to acknowledge the existence of australia at the end

i think the goose game would be a lot better if:
-they just added penalties to getting caught, even if it's as simple as adding a score system and putting down notches to your score whenever you got caught
-they expanded more on what you could do. some new locations outside of the village that could house more challenge, like rival geese competing with you (ai controlled or player controlled. couch co-op goose game could be pretty fun), or something like that
-they added a canadian goose skin

for $15 it's pretty ok. it could definitely be better, but it's not bad. the "controversy" over a game about being a fucking goose is hysterical to me though
