SoS, isn't this ban in bad favour? You banned him from antag permanently, for something that wasn't against policy at all, until today, and even then it's under hefty debate.

I don't think that's quite fair. Admittedly, you are the host and you have a certain latitude to do what you want, but it's fairly nonsensical to be retroactively justifying your bans with new policy.

He has received similar bans and warnings and hasn't changed his behavior so this didn't come out of nowhere.

It's generally a decent thing to do, even if not technically against the rules, to avoid behavior that upsets others.

This was discussed (the appeal) by a few admins in the IRC channel.

If this is lifted, you understand that murderboning isn't allowed now, under current policy. On a less related note, another bit that was discussed was a noticeable 'antag-like' behavior as a non-antag. IE: Releasing slimes all over Xenobio when playing a scientist in xenobio because they won't attack you, or spamming deathnettle as non-antag botanist, or running about with polyacid spray EVERY round as chemist. Try not to do this as often.

Given permission from SoS I'm going to lift this. If you violate the new policy, the ban will be reapplied.
