Ban reason and length: 5 days. Detonated a bag of holding in the evac shuttle as NON antag and lubed the place up

Time ban was placed (including time zone): 2019-04-24 13:11:38 (server time)

Your side of the story: at the time i decided to do this. the shuttle had arrived and we were in hyper space. and then two people decided to smash the gille around the super matter cystal that was on the ship, and then throw stuff at it. round had about 40 seconds left at that point, and then i decided to use the BOH "bomb".

Why you think you should be unbanned: honestly what i did after looking back was inexcusable and i claimed up to my wrong doings in the after round ooc and apologized to the person who did not found it funny what happend. some people did think it was funny but that does not matter. anyhow at the time i thought it could be funny and seeing as there were 12 people online after a +2.5 hour round. but clearly it was not. And the lube was shitty yes and wasnt my intention to ruin anyone's round

no matter the outcome of this appeal i will no longer try and pull these pranks if im not an antag. and i hope you guys can see my side as i completely understand the side of the person who ahelped and the admins side. so ill say this again. i am sorry for what i did and i will not do it again or anything of the sort
i had reached out to an admin after the event to ask/tell but i learned that admins are not allowed to discuss administrative matters over discord.

please tell me if i have missed anything.

I do appreciate that you came onto the forums to explain your side of things as this ban was applied hours after the fact when you were offline. Several players got hold of me later in the day to explain that some people had detonated bag of holdings and I ended up going through the logs to find the people responsible. I was a bit surprised to find two separate bombers; one who went on to brag about it in OOC and you who at least seemed apologetic after the fact. Typically ban lengths for this kind of thing operate on a day for each innocent killed. Over five people were killed within the tears of reality but how many of them died as a result of yours personally is a bit trickier to pin down so I aimed a bit lower on both bombers for the ban length.

I'm reluctant to change the ban length. We take things like non-antagonist bombings pretty serious and while it might seem innocent enough to bomb just before the round ends, blowing up the shuttle will deny people their victory which is why we ask people not to grief until the round ends properly. I am prepared to change the note attached to the ban to reflect you understood your mistake and wanted to make amends. The best way to make amends from here on out is to take the time out for a bit and use much less destructive pranks in the future.

i really like this game (and server) and was worried that this could have ruined it all for me and for this i thank you for being leinient and not giving me a perma, although i would have understood.

Sure, don't worry about it too much. So long as you don't do this exact thing again you should be fine. People are allowed to screw up and the notes associated with a ban are mostly to help us form patterns of behavior. People only make this kind of mistake once; you understand what you did wrong and you'll be welcome back when the ban expires.
