How rejoining is handled with full servers could use some work

I was captain during a revolutionary round. I disconnected, I tried using reconnect feature. It wouldn't work. I tried rejoining the server and was unable to.
I know it's just the sseth wave and full servers may not be a problem in the future. But this seems less then ideal.
