Detailed summary: Honestly I wanted to just ignore that all of this happened but each time I read over the logs I noticed a new level of something iffy going on and just really need to report it.

Essentially in the round I was a malf ai and I decided I wanted to do a gimmick of simon says malf ai edition, for the first round I wanted to do something dumb and easy for the crew to be impossible to fuck up on. So the first one was all female must wear skirts, the sole person to object to this was Jessica, I wanted to give them a break and just electric arm them and drag them to the clothevend in arrivals. They kept resisting so they were the first to go in simon says, I let them keep fucking around on lavaland. After a while they died on got cloned, they attempted to get into the kitchen to hide but, got the old shutterbug.

I abort them from the cloner and they die from organ failure, nothing bad YET.

2 minutes after I had killed them, this happened. At this point i'm pretty sure that I had only killed her and the other operative who tried to one human me and fail the next round of simon says. Kill 2 clowns from a clown bomb, so it wasn't like I was mass wiping out the entire station.

They proceeded to forget about oxygen and die which is honestly pretty funny. Nothing much happens for a while, I continue to try to be a fun host and think of challenges, and get a trivia round eventually. Eventually I notice another admin logged on during this period, havent really seen him on sybil before.

About 5-10 mins after his login elyina looks at the player panel of me and the nuke op. Looks kind of normal, she probably would have seen that she was one of my objectives and calmed down

NOPE. When I see her later on in the round I honestly just believed that it was someone somehow finding her body and reviving her, and the dude left pretty fast after reviving which leads me to believe that she asked him to come just to do something like that which is pretty fucky on top of everything else. While i'm not really one to care too much about greentext, seeing that you were someones objective and still trying to get revived from another admin to cuck them out of greentext is super shitty. You have a lot of options to be able to reincorporate yourself into the round in some way especially as an admin.

Hopefully a headmin can look in the admin chat/ahelps of what happened that round and things aren't as bad as they look, because this is pretty upsetting.

Here are the logs for the tickets and other asay messages that are relevant to this situation. I have to admit looking back at this I should have taken you, the AI, into consideration when I only took the actions of the Captian and Elyina into consideration. For what it's worth I don't actually get on that well with Elyina and this interaction would have gone the same with a regular player.

The logs will confirm that's my entire involvement with this situation.

I adminhelped the capt as I believed they were acting in a highly irresponsible and uncaptain-like manner. They were more or less allowing a malf AI to run the station and ignored several reports of the AI being such. He was actually watching when you turned off genetics and got my clone killed, and he did nothing about it, then proceeded put my body underneath a braindead persons corpse (I'm not actually sure if it was him that did that bit) without attempting to scan me again. I requested for another admin to deal with the ticket on adminbus and jim offered to get on and deal with it. He agreed the captain was behaving very poorly and held a high degree of responsibility for what had happened to me so he offered me a revive which I accepted.
I spawned the lone operative as the round was stretching well past the hour mark in what I considered to be a rather stale and low quality round. They ultimately died near instantly in a rather embarrassing manner as you noted, so this had no real impact on anything. This was unrelated to my death as I was already considering spawning some kind of extra antag well before these events, but I will acknowledge that the timing does look bad in hindsight. Was gonna post the logs but I see Jim already took care of it.

For what it's worth I had a look at the discord logs and there isn't much discussion between elyina and rustled either, just a request for someone to look at a ticket and then a copy of the ticket body.

The complaint should be against Rustledjimm if you're complaining about the revive since he's the one who pressed the button, not Elyina. (In fact, Rustled offered the revive and Elyina accepted it, it's not like Elyina was begging for a revive or anything).

Revives are meant more for situations between two players where one was wrongfully killed rather than a situation where through someone's incompetence, someone got killed by an antagonist. It's unfair to the antagonist. Imagine finding your target in a vulnerable position, killing them, and then later on finding them at full health alive because someone accidentally and wrongfully left them in the vulnerable position so they got admin revived. It would feel unfair, right?

The lone operative part of the complaint feels similar to the one against stickymayhem a while back.

1. Rustled is really the centric point of the complaint, and he admitted fault. The Lone Op thing is lame and gay but not actionable unless this is consistent IMO (and even that needs scrutiny). As alluded to in the thread beesting linked, follow CYA (cover your a**).

2. Just FYI Sybil ranges from <1 hour to >3 with a common stopping point at the 2.5 hour mark so I recommend if you find the round stagnant at hour 1 to switch servers then come back and double check. The round might suddenly seem stagnant when you're no longer able to play in it 8)

I think most people will accept an admin revive if it's offered, and at the time, true or not, I personally felt the captain was the most responsible for my death, which is why I adminhelped it in the first place. With an outsiders hindsight yeah I could see it as a valid personal criticism, but as it didn't involve me personally using any admin abilities or taking any admin action, it doesn't really full under the purview of an admin complaint.

I've admitted fault here. I didn't investigate enough and that reflected poorly on your round.

I just wanted to make it clear that this wasn't an admin scratching another admins back I'd have done precisely the same for a regular player.

I've had to clean up a lot of peanut posts (or responses to such) in this thread.

As a reminder, for both players and admins, peanut policy applies in complaints exactly as it does appeals. If you are not citing a precedent, rules or logs, and you are not involved with the case at hand, you shouldn't be posting.

We've decided to uphold this complaint. While this is technically a complaint against Elyina, I feel its fairly clear that there were two parties at fault here.

Admins should always avoid using admin buttons when they've been involved in the round previously. Some exception is made for answering tickets where the ticket is not about the admin in question, but it's difficult to justify pressing event buttons like this, and the optics on it are terrible (besides which theres a natural difficulty with being objective about a round you've been in.) Elyina should take this on board and remember to avoid influencing the round with admin tools when they've been involved as a player.

A key factor of any ticket is investigation, investigation, investigation. In this case the round was made less enjoyable for several players simply by a failure to look into events deeply enough. I don't think this was malicious on Rustledjimm's part, but regardless negligence can (and in this case was) harmful to the enjoyment of others. Rustledjimm is reminded to fully investigate tickets before actioning them (whatever the action).
