Your side of the story: I would like to note that it wasn't a ban evasion, I went on a few days ago to get my ban message again for another appeal and found that I was able to connect. I assumed there was some sort of New Year Ban Clearout and went with it. I didn't hide who I was in any way.
Why you think you should be unbanned: It's been five years and I'm a better man. A good man. A man's best friend man. I played for several days without insanely murdering anyone or otherwise fucking anyone over, except one time when I hopped into a giant inferno and killed only myself and some floor tiles. Before anyone comes in and locks this I would like to mention that even Kor and MSO were aware of my existence without banning me, and that jordie told me to go ahead and appeal. Reposting this because I was told to do so when there were new head admins. I think a fairly strong argument has been made for releasing me from prison after 5 years.

go play somewhere else for a few months, if you can use the trickster spirit to trick admins from another server to vouch for you then you can appeal here again with more chance of success

For what it's worth I did do the thing where I get an admin from another server to vouch for me and was ignored. It has also been 5 years since I was banned.

Earlier this year when I made the appeal, I actually thought I was unbanned because I was able to log in and play just fine. I made no effort to hide who I was and did not do anything to get banned during that time. I was only banned because someone figured I still should be.

I don't recall any unbans since 2013 that were intentional. And I spent 2 or 3 days without getting banned when something messed up and I was allowed in earlier this year.

I may have worded it a bit poorly but I do kind of feel that way. Even NikNak isn't screaming to have me extra banned. As for the second part, I hardly think there's going to be a great deal of egg on someone's face for giving a man an, er, 24th chance after 5 years.

I appreciate that although it's unnecessary. The old forums have been archived and anyone can easily confirm that I was registered there. The keenest of you will also notice that I used a slightly different name, there's a reason for that. You see, I actually misremembered my own username (it's pretty embarrassing and I'm not too proud of that so please do not make fun of me). I checked with Paradise and you were correct I think. They say you played there for two weeks in July 2017 (which is after you were told to go play on another server) and only had a few minor notes for stripping a disconnected player and minor self antagging. I'll leave it up to the headmins to interpret this information.

This is a funny appeal. If I understand correctly, the bans that occurred between 2013-2018 were just rebans for "ban evading." Ban evading is bad but it's also kinda of a self-fulfilling prophecy since you're just constantly going to get banned for it and then people use that as further reasoning about why you should stay banned. Eventually, the ban just means nothing 5 years from now. Of course, I would never encourage people to ban evade but the original ban behind the "ban that was ban evaded from" has probably lost all meaning (additionally, the original ban might have been for something that may be allowed now.) Has he actually done anything wrong in the server other than just ban evading within the past 5 years? Two weeks on paradise station isn't much but it's indeed something to show he plays.

I'm leaning on accepting this appeal as of now unless anyone provides information about something he's done wrong within the past 5 years. Of course, this doesn't mean that ban evading is going to help anyone case but if 5 years pass by then I suppose we can hear the person out.

2beard's blacklist status has been removed because evading kinda seems out there considering the other offences the other entries have.

The ban still stands until headmins decide.

I would like to note that I have never once ban evaded. For one reason or another the ban just stopped applying once or twice, and I only found out when I went to make an appeal.

I'll let this sit for a little bit since it's a hot-button but I don't really see any reason to not unban you without probation. Nobody seems to be able to tell me anything else other than the terrible things you did in 2013. While it is understandable that we can hold you to your actions back then, the fact that we have a system that removes notes and bans from being seen after 6 months shows that the server has been trying to make it so that the things that you've done in the past will not haunt you forever. You may have done bad things back then but people have been in jailed for real crimes with less time on their sentence.

We discussed this at some length and yes you've received a tonne of bans in the past. However from what we can see these were all half a decade ago or longer. So guess what we are going to give you another chance because it has been such a long time.

Re-read the rules, play nicely. Admins are going to be naturally skeptical of your actions. If you haven't changed I'm sure you realise you will find yourself quickly permabanned again for an even longer period of time.
