Currently, the job selection takes priority over the antag status. So if have a protected job set to high, you will never have a chance to become a traitor sadly!
What if this priority was switched? So that if you are selected to become a traitor the game will simply select a non protected job for you instead? This would also mean that if you have security officer set to high, you will still be able to become a traitor occasionally.

Re: protected jobs and traitor status priority swap
The problem is not getting anyone to agree to the idea, as essentially everyone supports it, its getting someone to code the idea.

Re: protected jobs and traitor status priority swap
its not easy to code
roundstart code is a pile of dung
if somebody ever sorts out that pile of dung, you can be almost certain that antag status will have priority over protected jobs.

<wb> For one, the spaghetti is killing me. It's everywhere in food code, and makes it harder to clean those up.
