when scouting for admins ill dig around notes, timezone, connection hours. if they check out i'll watch the player themselves to see how they act. i'll eventually offer them a candidacy. never candidated somebody who asked outright.

i was initially candidated after being approached by kor. i did not ask for it outright.

99% isn't accurate but many admins asked to join; it was more common in years past.

Had an issue with some rather shitcurity (they busted into my working area, arrested me, and threw me in perma). I had made a virus and they thought I didn't drink it myself. I got a job change and they thought it was maybe an agent card. I had all access on my ID (the HOP turned out to be a traitor). Nothing came of it but they at least talked to both sides. Also there were some sweet alien and mining shuttles last night. I'm assuming that those were the work of the same person. Thanks Ambassador Magi. 8/10 Would Ahelp after seeing there weren't lings again thus massively delaying round end (watching people fight it out as the collossus hierophant drake and blob).

sos even made me answer a quiz in adminbus (before you got bant for joining without permissions) it was fun

On the issue of admin recruitment I can say that, at least years ago, I was a candidate for a short while when Neerti asked me. Though it never went any further mainly due to Neerti leaving for Baystation right after and no one else offered.

Don't know about nowadays.

To solve that mystery for you steelpoint, I was actually gonna admin you back then, but when I brought it up in adminbus a few people I don't remember really really didn't want me to do it. I dunno why. Maybe you can be a little autistic sometimes but I think you would have been fair.

Seems a little quick to interfere with the round while there is still stuff going on (I'm thinking in particular about the time they dropped steel rain on the station with a clown on board with the turrets all modified to shoot honk staff projectiles) - bear in mind that was the first time I'd seen him AC too, and it turned out pretty good.

Other than that quick to handle ahelps and all the answers I've seen have been good. Good egg.

I have to say, while the DiamondSentinel situation was entirely banworthy on their part, I'm not overly pleased by the way Alphonzo treated it.

I compare being an admin to being a kindergarten teacher or customer service representative a lot but it's not just a meme. Part of being an admin is knowing when and how to engage: when to actively work to convince someone why what they did was wrong, when to simply stonewall. "I'm sorry, that won't be possible," to borrow the old Miss Manners stonewall. What you can't do is let yourself be provoked into rage. They feed off the rage, the situation does not improve, and you just look bad.

Considered making a complaint, but I just need to warn Exavere that they seem to jump to conclusions far too easily and take things out of context. someone being cloned after being killed doesn't mean their killer wanted them cloned, it means they failed to stop it. just because only one laser hit the target, doesn't mean the other 2 lasers shot didn't happen. there is a difference between a temporary shrinking beam and a laser beam.

This is a very vague complaint/"piece of feedback" that seems better fit for a private message, could you explain it a bit more? No context, no information, this just seems like an ided with more complaint involved

nah, that's pretty much it. called three lasers one laser because two missed, said I shot first in a fight because I shot them with a completely harmless gun and then they got pissed 30 seconds later, and quicky dismissed the whole thing because someone else fixing the situation by cloning makes the offense less severe. rather make a feedback that should be a complaint than a complaint that should be a feedback.

Small feedback on somepan, ran a nations event on Terry in which 100 threat of antags were spawned along side nations. Nations is designed as a gamemode with no other threats, this is because departmental cooperation against threats will be low. Spawning 100 threat of antags including a blob is not fun for anyone and the reception clearly showed this. Otherwise a great admin in my opinion but this was a bit of a mistep. (For future refrence something like an ert with orders to keep the peace might have been better)

Had a ticket with IsaacExists/Fox Aikawa. A liiiiitle bit aggressive, but they came around in the end, and proved themselves to be openminded and willing to listen to reasonable argumentation, and I'm happy with how things turned out. Overall pretty good, 8/10, would get bwoinked again, I expect them to make a really good admin when they get a bit more practice in.
