Christ. I was coding from 1 to just a few minutes ago. Almost non-stop save for getting up to go the bathroom or get a drink. For the past 2.5 hours or so I didn't even do that.

I've NEVER been able to focus this well. It just doesn't happen to me. I feel like an actual functional person for the first time.

Good things today

Friend of the family started a gofundme with a goal of 5k for the house repairs, got 1k of it within the first day
Sister got her new car for the trip back home so all 3 of us and the cats will fit comfortably
My birthday gift for my sister arrived so I can wrap it while they do stuff tomorrow

since my last posts i got to dabble in the different kinds of welding with stick, mig, and tig, and mig being my favorite. i also got to do plasma cutting, which was really fun and surprisingly loud. the mandatory first year experience class is also super easy, although that's not much of a shock

Bought some braces today (suspenders for you Americans), definitely more comfortable than a belt - no back ache from being sat down all the time as I was having with a belt.

They're Y shaped ones... would recommend X in hindsight. Y ones tug on the middle of the back, keep pulling my pants up my butt crack when I bend over.

That's happened to me. it comes when the GC is not getting enough power. go to nvidia control panel and turn it to maximum performance. I've had your issue before and that has fixed it

what kind of card do you have exactly and what OS do you have? i am trying to google helpful things for you

some other problems you could be having:

i had something similar where computer would shut off at random, it was the power supply. the fan broke and would rattle, and eventually it would overheat and shut off. next time your computer randomly shuts off feel the side of the PSU and check if it's super hot. even if it isn't it still might be a PSU problem, supposedly some no-name brands just aren't stable enough to run some graphics cards.

never had it happen to me but supposedly it could be a problem with your motherboard or your OS? not likely but if all else fails might be worth checking out

did a little bit of googling and it could just be bad drivers. go to here: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us and download the correct drivers for you. when you install them do a custom install since it will delete the old drivers first, then make sure you do a clean install of the new ones. maybe that will help, maybe it won't do anything, probably worth trying.
