Dead Leaves was like a Suda51 game: it only made sense if you somehow already knew the world and the people existing in it, and it didn't explain it during the movie, but hell, it was a fun ride nonetheless.

I've watched a couple of episodes - it's surprisingly amusing.

The ending of Tokyo Ghoul Root A was... interesting.

It ends with some weird "Lol take a look at Tokyo Ghoul :Re"

I must say I'm a little disappointed, even if I can't pin point why exactly.
The ending, besides the final bit was certainly interesting.

So I've finished both seasons of A Certain Magical Index and the first season of A Certain Scientific Railgun.

I like ACSR a lot more than ACMI though, the storylines and overarching plot are much better thought out and the build-up is done much better too. And starting the second season the animation got kicked up a notch as well.

That's because in railgun the TOUMAN is actually a bretty cool guy, where as in index he's a rage inducing autist. Also index has Index, where as railgun has accelerator.

Literally every fight with touma is 'I'm a LEVEL ZERO and I MAY BE THE WEAKEST but I'll fight anyway with GUTS.
Then he blocks shit with his hand and is like "oh that's right, I have this super power hacks ability that lets me curb stomp pretty much anyone lel"
Then applies fist to some girl's face and tells them that they're living their life incorrectly.

The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki (leftover from last season)

Still checking up on what else will be running this season but so far I'm not terribly impressed with the rest. A sequel to Gatchaman Crowds is all I ever wanted.

Shimoneta to Iu Gainen ga Sonzai Shinai Taikutsu na Sekai seems interesting, the premise is funny (although a tad lewd)

Other than that it's mainly just my back catalogue again.

I'm still catching up on Stardust Crusaders after taking a break right after they defeated The Wheel. Finally made it to Egypt.

Also I've started watching Dragon Ball Super, despite having seen only up to halfway the Cell saga and absolutely nothing of Dragon Ball GT. I don't get the impression I've missed a terrible lot, but why is there suddenly a character named Mr. Satan?

And God forbid I'm actually considering watching Monster Musume. You need at least one hilarious garbage anime per season, right? And after Nisekoi this can only be better.

Season 2 of Knights of Sidonia has been pretty good, though the "slice of life romcom" sections feel a bit cookie-cutter/cliche.

so i tried to get into shutin media again, so outside of waiting for kekkai sensen to finish, i tried to follow some of the new things this season

gangsta looks not bad, i got black lagoon vibes but also vaguely getbackers vibes from it , first episode wasn't bad
gate was dumb and i wasn't paying attention when i was watching it so i missed some plot points but it might be cool
overlord was... some parts of it was ok. i got bored and alt+tabbed through the parts where the girl who wants to get dicked down by the skeleton was showing her tits and the two kids look like they're going to be both annoying and in prime focus throughout the season. getting tired of mmo-based media even though it has an interesting twist on the concept.
i was gonna watch gatchaman crowds but i didnt watch the first season and fuck a backlog
i really want game of laplace to be good, someone described it as "like un-go" and i was like say no more fam. first episode was kind of boring though
rokka no yuusha looks like it could be good
chaos dragon was the worst shit i ever seen like someone stop that creative staff from playing dnd

i dont follow a whole lot of animes per year let alone season but it looked like funimation got way worse with framerate and shit. i didn't like overlord as much as i probably did because my eyes fucking hurt whenever the framerate tanked during panning scenes

I've finally finished Stardust Crusaders and hooooly shiiiit, the finales in JoJo are always so incredibly awesome but this one definitely takes the cake. Not even Kars could match up to how incredibly threatening and intimidating Dio felt in that final battle. I absolutely love it when the heroes are completely getting curbstomped by their enemies, but they manage to win through clever tactics.
