wesoda should i watch the new aot season? i finished hte manga and i didnt like the ending so i dont have much drive to finish the season but i think i should just to finish it. aot was one of the first anime i watched so i think i owe it but its a sloooooog watching weekly. plus i have a lot of other tv shows to watch at the moment
also since im here anime rec: haibane renmei. short slice of life/drama about the reincarnated. its very cute and emotional

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I've never read the manga. I've had a lot of ups and downs in terms of my opinion of this season, right now it's at it's highest. It seems largely plot driven so I imagine it'll have lost quite a lot of magic for someone who has read the manga but... it's pretty cool! I think maybe the pacing and soundtrack might make up for it? The hype is real right now though, AND I JUST CAN'T GET OVER THIS SCENE:

Wow I forgot how good it is. The constant plot twists, the animation is really nice too. I forgot about the twist that Gricha was being manipulated by Eren, what an awesome twist. My favorite scene is the freeze frame in episode 4 before Eren gets his head blown off. Excited for the rest of the season even if I know how it's gonna go

naturally, i was extatic. i tapped on the notification and looked at what opened...

A shame, it had a chance to really shine, but Netflix found a way to make the adaptation a black sheep. These batch releases are fucking soulless. Where's the tension? The weekly discussions and theories, the cliffhangers that make you tune in every week, craving for some more? How does it even work for promoting and merchandizing if you don't extend the life of your show?

I just hope years from now, they won't get their dirty cheap hands on SBR.

Reminds me of when I went to a Mob Psycho II showing of an original recap episode for S1 and the first episode of S2 at the theater a few weeks before it aired on television. There were a ton of people at that theater which kind of surprised me. Speaking of, Mob Psycho is really good and has a third season in the works right now which I'm eager for

citrus + domi + me + the other weeb admins who pile in the anime watching channel every sunday night are currently watching Spy X Family, Demon Girl Next Door 2-Chome, The Executioner's Way of Life, Kaguya-Sama love is war (3rd season) and one of the seasons of jojo

I don't stick around for the last two but out of the first three Ive gotta say Spy x Family is probably the best (and the best comedy flick I've seen in a very long while)
it's a wonderful shitpost and I highly encourage anyone who wants a good laugh to go watch it

Demon Girl Next Door 2-chome just has momo and shamiko being gay around each other again, so its more of the usual and therefore pretty good
I don't think it's quite as good as the first season though which is kind of a shame

Executioner's Way of Life has a mili opening and therefore it bangs, the LN and manga its based off of has a yuri tag which makes itself hilariously obvious within the first few episodes

I recently watched gakkou gurashi (and read the manga after), and while I'm not a delusional anime girl in a zombie apocalypse where the male gender (and adults) seemingly died out, it made me miss my high school days. The ending left me heavily dissatisfied, so i read the sequel. It basically showed what the characters were up to, but everyone got 1 chapter, which isn't a lot. It was also kinda all over the place and didn't show anything out of the main city, or didn't mention it was outside of the main city.

Fun fact i searched up the author and found out he also wrote on akudama drive, so that explains why many deaths were so surreal and anticlimactic. for example:

i havent watched anime as it aired since 2014 but a good friend coralled me into staying up late watching kobiyashis dragon maid s1+s2 and it was extremely charming and comfy whenever the plot wasnt about drowning a fifth grader in massive tits but that was only like 6.5% of the time so id say it was a net positive

A lot of good shows this season seem to be locked away. Like Summertime Rendering and Isekai Ojisan. New Chainsaw Man PV has been released today, and It definitely will become the next big thing once it comes out. Lastly, Call of the Night has had amazing visuals and atmosphere so far. Much more immersive then I thought anime could be.

OP 2 of Summertime rendering is a letdown tbh. They got so much money from the first half of the season that they resorted to standard anime opening instead of low budget vibe (at least it feels like that)

you can see him activate the radio wrist watch thingy and you can hear nazuna picking up. íts the "dont pay attention and you'll miss" kind of thing. i found that very cool for some reason

This season has been a good one for sure. +1 for call of the night too. I thought it was going to be a slice of life with vampires, but the action has been kicking up!

Overlords been good too. If you can get past skipped content and cgi. I'm fine with it since I won't be reading the WN anytime soon.

Lastly Summertime rendering might be my aoty. I blame Disney jail for such a good show floating under the radar.
