Houseki no Kuni is a pretty good adaptation of a manga I liked about being a sentient rock and getting totally smashed.

Pretty competent for anime cgi too.

I finished then new Berserk, and I know people don't really like it much, but I haven't seen the original series (except for memes), so I enjoyed it quite a lot.

Its from 1995 but looks a gorgeous gritty real mecha.
Hadn't realised it was originally an OVA 4 parter, I've only seen the movie version before

yesterday i watch this great 199something anime movie called Perfect Blue, today I search youtube and I find this song by a band called Macross 85, when I find more about the band I learn that they have an album inspired by the movie I watched called CHAM! (the name of the idol group in the movie), then when I come on this forum I find this post.

i finally watched 2016 berserk

very good very nice really enjoyed it

the sound track was pretty good as well, my favourite song was blood and guts. the start where its just going BLOOD AND GUTS AND GUTS AND BLOOD was mesmerising

Terra Formars (that anime that got a lot of flak for alien cockroaches that looked like black stereotypes) got dubbed recently, pretty good dub too.

They left on a ship of 100 people, I was thinking "Damn, thats a lot of mooks" and I wasn't wrong.

So what are folk watching in this new season?

I'm watching Boku no Hero s3. Shokugeki no Soma (food wars) s3 pt2, Legend of Galactic Heroes remake, continuing Darling in Franxx and I also decided to try that new SAO anime.

The new SAO anime is hilarious, she calls her P90 "P-chan".

It's not a full remake. It's only 12 episodes and it will cover the first of 10 novels (the 10 novels being the original which the old series was adapted from). The first two episodes covered the Battle of Astarte. Though the first episodes I was unsure about I enjoy the second episode.

I dislike the character styles and diversity but I love how the ships look etc.

Honestly hardly anything will live up to the original series but I've enjoyed the first two episodes so far.

There will also be 3 films next year covering the second of the 10 novels and future novel adaptations will depend on how well these 2 do.

The original was pretty top tier so I don't think anything can live up to it, it's been ages since I watched it though since finding episodes online is a real bitch.

Aside from that franxx is fun, waifushitters are gearing up to go to a war that'll peter out within a few episodes

Steins gate 0 seems to be on a bit of a slow start like the first season. I'm really enjoying it so far but the wait between episodes is painful

I watched the second season of Overlord and it made me angry. I guess it's true what they say, a good villain is one you love to hate, but most of the main cast are such complete shitheads it makes me furious. They deserve to get dunked with impunity. Butler man is ok though.
