I'm withdrawing from the candidacy, I doubt if I won an0n3 would even honor the players wishes as he assumed this was all a joke. Not a week into him being grorious reader instead of acting like an adult he lied like a goddamn child when i inquired about losing +voice flag in #adminbus. He played ignorant but not much later he had MSO purge the channel of non voiced and make it whitelisted. I doubt he doesn't think i've been leaking their 'secret logs' from adminbus but as I told him when he bothered to bring it up today that I hadn't been but had I known he was this much of a shit I wouldn't hesitate too.

I think you're misinterpreting events here, personally. My own interpretation is that Anon was going to make a special exception for you when you talked to him on the 25th, then on the 26th, presumably after talking it over with other admins, he changed his mind.

You kind of overreacted, so MSO kicked you out. You could've continued the conversation with Anon in #tgstation or privately if you'd wanted.

Like, don't get me wrong, I'm not a big fan of Anon, but what happened here seems pretty understandable, even if it felt shitty for you.

I can't see why he felt the need to lie to you pomf, and I don't think anyone believes you were leaking logs. I think it's a shame you are withdrawing your candidacy as I don't doubt the fact you would have done a good job at it but if you feel an0n won't honor the players decisions I guess there is no point in you running.

To clear things up, theres been at least a week or two notice about a channel purge about to happen. Since pomf isn't registered as an admin on the forums he didn't see the notice about it in our section of the board. This is in no way a conspiracy against specifically against pomf (although personally, he's probably right about this being treated as a joke and ignored). As for the loss of +v, I don't know the circumstances behind that aside from some other people also having trouble with it and staying registered on rizon.

I was idling in IRC up until losing power for a bit due to tornados and came back being unable to talk in #adminbus. said what I said to an0n3 and then without any other correspondance was kicked from #adminbus and unable to rejoin. What gave you the idea i started throwing some massive fit that caused me to lose voice and get kicked out of #adminbus it's too early to have stockholm syndrome so i can only assume somebody is feeding you a load of shit.

You're the host of another server, yeah? I'd love to get along and help eachother with information and consult on stuff when weird shit happens but having you idling in our admin only channel 24/7 isn't necessary at all. You don't need to be in there to be able to talk to me or the headmins.

/vg/ for a majority of its early existance was paid by me out of pocket until I adopted patreon not that long ago after being pestered about it. head admins are chosen because they'd be good at the jerb, thats not really something that should be voted on really. major server changes are typically voted on though. Hi An0n3, /vg/ headmin here, Pomf bullied me into it because nobody else wants to be the one with the responsibility, apparently.

And while it's not a popularity conte- vote, i am held as accountable (if not moreso) as any other admin, as is evident by the storm of shitposting whenever we do anything. Public logs are great for that, y'know. It helps remind you you're doing it for the players and they have a right to see everything.

Every time I ask Pomf the actual particulars of what will happen to /vg/ if they're elected to a headmin seat here they dodge the question. A lot of people are very curious and deserve an answer. Some people are still convinced this whole campaign is a joke while others are assuming Pomf is just trying to get remote access so they can sabotage the server.

Pomf I'm giving you an ultimatum. Explain what you're planning to happen between /vg/ and /tg/ if you're elected here or else I'm kicking you out of the election.

bro i don't know if you know this but typically in an election there isn't someone sitting on a high horse saying 'no, no, okay mr quisling you can run, no, dance to my tune and maybe,"

if you want to appoint someone just do it, it's your server

Actually in most elections there are qualifications a candidate must meet in order to run.

Did you know you can't run for President if you aren't at least 35 years old? Crazy, innit?

if you wanted to require subservience you should have posted that up in the announcement thread instead of coming into the thing halfway through and changing the rules.

plus if the server knowingly elects someone who might decide to destroy it then clearly the server's past its sell-by anyway. and tg has been deserving of death ever since you guys forced that third, better server to close because people liked it too much and the host of the other two was getting jealous. the more recent comedy of errors (error...erro...makes u think..) is just icing on the cake

If someone is running on the "i'm just going to break shit" platform I think it's my responsibility to stop them before it even comes to a vote.

"Requiring subservience" is a pretty weird way of saying I want an answer to a question everyone is wondering but Pomf wont answer seriously.

it's an unnatural beast held together by a motley collection of bpd power addicts, some the worst people even a gutter like ss13 has to offer. years of skulduggery have made you all paranoid, wary, and none more than you, anon. like a game of thrones character you seek to keep the throne no matter what, if it requires hundreds of dollars a month in server costs (an heirloom passed down to you by the previous schizophrenic, balkanoid host, himself driven out of power by his own panicky attempts at maintaining it) so be it, if it requires posting unironically about "leak problems" you'll do it, and purging the irc channels of the perhaps-disloyal has become routine. tg has gone the way of baystation - a once decent server now administrated exclusively by those shameful enough to invest hundreds of hours into obtaining and holding power. gone are the people who made it worth playing, but those who drove them away now run the show. for the good of the ss13 community /tg/station must die, and perhaps something better can rise from the ashes. free kingston.
