Account linking rewards

We should offer small rewards for linking your discord and forum account to your ckey. Just a little bit of meta-incentive to help people engage the community.

Off the top of my head 1 character slot for each account (2 total) would be a really simple example. I know that we are protective of the 3 slot for byond members, I see the argument where having 2 free slots from registering causes players to not buy a membership.

Bonus quirk points, like 1 for each, is a possibility but also has massive possibility for downsides.

Bonus items in the loadout are straightforward but the way our system works it would have to just be a new cosmetic which doesn't really increase opportunity for customization like the other two do.

I've recently come to dislike Discord because of the shit they're trying to pull off, so I don't really want to try to push anyone into making an account.

I hear where you're coming from but I think its worth trying to raise the floor on getting people into the community and I value that over whatever qualms we have with the platform we're using. We clearly need some kind of chat platform and a better option hasn't shown up yet. Whatever we end up on, we should offer a small incentive for having it connected up.
