still will never forget the insane shit that happened in Blizzard. Never-minding the breast milk, they literally named one of their hotel rooms "the Cosby suite." Suggesting a subject might not be worth discussing, particularly since it brings no benefit for the community on top of being something inherently negative (aside from, perhaps, not making the same mistakes in the future), is not highjacking a thread. It's suggesting that a subject might not be worth discussing.

It's perfectly fine to offer a meta comment that the topic is not worth discussion, but bringing up completely unrelated topics of conversation like vanderlin shouldn't be done in the same thread.

As a woman, I wouldn't be comfortable meeting a woman in the woods either, lots of trafficker rings use women to coerce other women by making them feel "safe" before kidnapping them

But I feel like the question is dumb to begin with and is worded in such a way that both genders understand the context much differently. It plays on inherent fears and biases and shames dudes when really the question should be;

"If theres something that kills you immediately, or something that could kidnap or torture or rape you for the rest of your life but they're probably actually an honest and good person, which would you go for?"

I was raised by my family to be deathly afraid of strangers, and the idea of being trafficked or tortured for years without hope or an end in sight is a terrifying idea.
But the question is instead phrased to be horribly sexist and doesn't make that context clear to men who then feel shamed instead.

As a man that has the gender and phenotype it was made for, I do not feel attacked by the bear thing 'cos it's such an obvious troll that it'd be very cringe to feel offended by it.

It's a meme for people to yell in the comment sections of clips of Wolf Creek in TikTok.

If someone told me (I have never experienced this) they genuinely and unironically believe they'd rather find a bear than a man in the middle of a forest I'd prolly just respond "lol ur dumb" and move on.

I don't agree with or support what wubli said or how wubli said it. Any other time than this and I would have voted +1 for conduct action against them.

But MSO baited it out by being a moron and breaching conduct in like a dozen different ways, and I cannot allow any slack for any of our admins to bait anyone into being punished. No fruit from the poisoned tree.

This thread has ran its course, I feel. Headmins and Host have given their opinions on The Controversy and beyond that it spirals into needling over what someone actually meant when they're unable to respond due to the fact that MSO also blacklisted them and wiped literally all of their account details from this forum in response.
