Banning admin: MrStonedOne
Ban reason: "if you think that women have it better in the society - you are a fascist" Trying to tie the concept of men's advocacy with fascism is just a barely disguised misandry. You want to taint the concept to keep men from finding a voice. Take that else where.
Time ban was placed: It was Monday at 21:58... Not sure which Monday and not sure which 21:58. This post was drafted, I stopped caring at some point.
Your side of the story: MSO timed out a person because they implied in some way that manosphere is misogynistic, and then argued that the red pill movement is fighting for equality. I found that revolting. So I quoted the wiktionary which plainly stated that the concept of "red pill" is tied to far-right identity movements, and said that the belief in gynocentrism is fascistic. After that I was promptly banned.
Why you think you should be unbanned: attached below, in the "off-topic" section of this post, is my previous elaboration on the concepts over which I have been banned. I don't care about this issue anymore. I guess I agree with what I wrote there, it's been a while and I'm not reading into everything there a lot.
Off Topic
Let's start with a simple definition of what "manosphere" is according to Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:
"The manosphere is a diverse collection of websites, blogs, and online forums promoting masculinity, misogyny, and opposition to feminism."
MSO defends this.
>culminating with calling mras facists for pointing out the situations in which women have it better.
That's not what happened. I called the idea of "gynocentrism prevailing in the modern society", aka the wiktionary definition of redpilling, fascist. Which it is! That idea could be boiled down to "men in general have it worse in the society compared to women". That is the thing I called fascist and I'm going to stand by that. I did not say that "pointing out situations in which women have it better" is fascist. I have not claimed that the idea of men's advocacy is fascist either - only the redpill movement.
Here are some more quotes about that particular movement:
"Alluding to the symbol of the "red pill" from the film The Matrix, r/TheRedPill is devoted to discussions of male sexual strategy in which participants are ranked as "alpha" or "beta" males. The subreddit promotes antifeminism, rape culture, hegemonic masculinity, and traditional gender roles. Users discuss diet and physical fitness; share "pick-up" techniques for seducing women; and display varying levels of misogyny, ranging from virulent hatred of women to simple frustration with contemporary male experience."
"...those who accept the idea that men are the oppressed victims of a misandrist society are said to have 'taken the red pill'. While some of the groups have adversarial relationships with one another, they tend to be united in their misogyny, promotion of masculinity, and opposition to feminism."
>Half of feminism is about the ways in which men have have it better. hell thats a large chunk of all equality discussion.
I don't understand this point. Did MSO mistype and mean that "half of feminism is about the ways in which women have it better"? That wouldn't make sense, no, since he's an antifeminist with a burning hatred of "academic feminism", which, he argues, is misandristic. Either way, this, again, does not apply, because I have not said that men do not have struggles of their own, only that the view that women have it better in the society is fascistic. Both of these can be true at the same time.
>There is no way to for any gender to do any advocacy under the standard they setup, which is why they only apply it to discussions about women.
What standard do I set up? That you shouldn't have a statement saying "tied to far-right identity movement" on the wiktionary definition page of your movement if you don't want to be called a fascist?

This is bigotry. Half of feminism is about the ways in which men have have it better. hell thats a large chunk of all equality discussion. This user has a history of kneejerk reactionary takes to men's equality. This ban must be appealed.

I have never been a regular at tgstation, playing on an off, with the most playtime I've accrued being from around 2018 on a different ckey. I'm Russian, so it's only sensible that I gravitated towards Russian servers, and this was the case for a long while. Due to that I have gained quite a reputation, resulting in a group of people from a Russian server obsessively stalking me and, at one point, doxxing, to the extent of DMing me information about my places of residence (which, at that time, I didn't live at) threatening with legal action and alluding to in-person harassment. This doesn't sound relevant, but it is so, to the extraordinary margin.
When I started playing again in 2024, I was attacked in the OOC-chat by a person belonging to this group. This is exactly how I got into /tg/station Discord server. I was directed to people who were at that time headmins, and I provided direct proof of people stalking me, speculating about my personal life and planning to coordinate attacks on me in-game.
NOBODY DID ANYTHING.
My case was put on hold. I was told to gather more evidence of wrongdoings. Apparently, OOC harassment and intentional misgendering, culminating in borderline doxxing is allowed. I still have evidence of everything mentioned. In fact, the Discord server I've gathered it from is very much public, and said evidence can be checked. This all was, of course, fueled by transphobic vitriol.
Let's do a point-by-point evaluation of my current material conditions, then.
- I was driven out of the game by transphobes over the concerns for my personal safety.
- I was banned out of the /tg/station discord over the concerns of "misandry".
- Misogyny, transphobia and any combination of the two are allowed on the server. Calling fascism what it is, then, is prohibited.
- I have to risk being blacklisted to have a chance at getting back into the Discord. People who tried to sic the government oppression on me can do anything that they want, without any risks.
