Considering your history of abusing security rights and now this gross behaviour, I am giving you a permaban. Appeal at forums so I can hear your side of the story.

Why should this appeal be accepted?:
There's one, possibly two accusations being levied here the first is that I abused my "security rights", the second (implied) one is that this is erotic/sexual content. I am basing this off of the admin's use of the word "gross" and the fact that someone in OOC called it ERP. Both of which I disagree with.

I came into this situation with the prisoner over a long series of gradually escalating IC incidents which were escalated primarily by the prisoner. I'm not here to say whether he broke the rules or not but this is what happened. I was Warden and this prisoner had been processed two times. After the second time we tracker implanted him and gave him a warning. He was then arrested for grand theft as he stole the hand tele. BAsed on what I heard on the radio he gave the HoS a run for her money, so when she captured him she explicitly told me to torture him. I did this by krav magaing him and at one point the veteran security advisor shot him to which I responded by patching him up. Eventually he was thrown into perma by the HoS.

When I went to perma to check on the othe rprisoner, he breaks out and I had a space lag moment so he's able to tablestun me. I call for backup and they come and stun him. He's transferred to isolation where he stays there for an extended period of time.

Despite his bad behavior I eventually try to transfer him back to genpop so he's not bored out of his mine sitting in a 4x4 isolation cell with no radio or outside contact. I had planned on doing this earlier but was busy with other stuff. WHen I open the door he immediately runs out and tries to disarm me, escapes into the hall, disarms my taser, but I eventually subdue him.

This is where the problem begins again. He was causing sec a lot of head aches that round so I cuff/straight jacket him again as he was earlier, buckle him to the bed, and start infantilizing him. Basically calling him a whiny crybaby who wants his mom. I pepper spray him and say "Aw is da widdle baby upset? Does da widdle baby want his mommy?" and things like that. I know given my history of bad sec behavior this seems over the top but this isn't an instance of that. I've always been willing to admit when I take it too far but this guy was a grade A shitter. Not that I think he should be banned as he only violently attacked me and other members of sec after the HoS ordered me to torture him(though It's possible he resorted to violence first while HoS was chasing him, I'm not sure) but this guy had been arrested 3 times and attacked members of sec while trying to escape twice.

Anyway I then take him into the perma brig toilet, emote pooping in it, and then give him a swirlie. I then do this later with vomit.

I think the implication here is that the widdle baby/mommy stuff is some weird mommy fetish and so is the poop/vomit stuff. I think the proliferation of pornography, speciifcally "fetish" content, which I do not watch, has significantly altered what people view as sexual. I do not view the toilet torture I subjected him to as sexual or outside the rules of the server. First, we have vomit and swirlies as actual mechanics in the server. We don't have poop/shit, but I don't really associate dunking someones face in a toilet full of shit as a sexual act. Also the whole mommy/baby stuff - I never implied anything sexual or that I was the mommy figure or that mommy would punish/reward him for being a good boy or however that kind of stuff works. I feel like if an adult says to another adult while they are upset or inconvienced - "does the baby want his bottle?" they are implying that they are acting childish or immature, not subjecting them to some weird sexual fetish.

Regardless, I recognize that the poop stuff made the dude uncomfortable in OOC as I found out at the end of the round. I reacted negatively to it at first b/c i Don't agree with the characterization that this is ERP/fetish content, but I apologized to the guy for making him uncomfortable before I even found out I was banned. For anonmyity purposes I sent a pic of that message to the banning admin, I don't want to post it here, as it contains the name of the prisoner.

Also to be clear I won't do more poop humor in the future solely because of the perception that it made this guy feel unsafe, but I also think it's unfair to characterize what I did as ERP when it was more like a humiliation ritual.

Anyway yeah that's my defense. The guy was doing some serious greytiding, violently tired escaping prison twice even when I was going to cut him a break, I had been explicitly ordered to torture him, and then I was mostly just trying to humiliate/embarass his character at the end of the round since all the other threats had been taken care of, the round-start perma prisoner went SSD, and we had no other temp prisoners.

Hello, thank you again for making an appeal.

I can confirm that I saw your apology towards the victim, and I see it as proof that you are currently showing remorse for your behavior.

That being said, I still take massive issue with your past and present behavior on this server. You have been asked time and time again to choose proper responses towards other players. Your behavior that led to this ban is proof for me that you're not considerate towards other players.

I am not accusing you of some form of forced ERP or anything else, I am accusing you of acting like an insane person and subjecting someone to this situation which went beyond social norms. You are not allowed to act like a freak (see: infantilization followed by the nasty swirlie emotes), disregard social norms and gross everyone out to get back at people, no matter what happens to you ICly. This is not allowed under rule 8, and also not under rule 1. I imagine that you would not want to be subjected to this kind of stuff yourself, because frankly nobody does. It's gross and unnecessary, plain and simple.

So, continuing from that, now we have reached a point where we cannot rely on your word that you are working on your behavior. Again, we have talked with you over and over, and so far we don't see any proof from our side that this behavior has changed. And given what just happened, I will not wait to see what happens next. There might be remorse in your apology towards the victim, but I don't want to let you back into servers where we are at risk of seeing this stuff play out again. Barring a headmin review and overturn, I will not unban you until I have concrete proof that your behavior has changed for the better.

I was the prisoner in this situation.

Just want to include my thoughts on some of the things Gobear says about the incidents and also some messages he has sent in the Manuelcord showing that he explicitly enjoys abusing prisoners. I think it's surprising he's offered the opportunity to return with a voucher.

The conflict started because I had been dehumaned by the HoS with an additional law (which was funny I don't mind) and when I was later caught doing some crime by the HoS, they order Gobear to torture me. I don't think they were being super serious in that I had done stuff bad enough to deserve it just that I had been annoying. He also is explicitly told by the HoS to NOT kill me.

He claims that this was primarily escalated by me. He is the first to use any lethal force. When I'm being tortured, he allowed the veteran advisor shoot me in the leg and then watches as I bleed out. He drags me around and this makes me fall to about 65% blood. This results in my death. "I did this by krav magaing him and at one point the veteran security advisor shot him to which I responded by patching him up." He explicitly tells the veteran advisor that it's OKAY to shoot me and only did CPR on me while I was alive. While he was torturing me he let ethereal prisoner die and fully crystal revive because he was too busy torturing me. I was pointing at the dead prisoner while doctors were yelling at him and we were both ignored. Unfortunately \this part was not recorded, but this should all be in the rounds logs. He also had the security advisor shoot me and let me bleed out AGAIN later in the round which is not mentioned by him. This second time is included in the recording.

After this first death he brings me to medbay, revives me, heals me just out of crit, and takes me back to isolation where he lung punches me twice for insulting him. This puts me into crit and I succumb. He takes me to medbay, defibs me, doesn't heal me out of crit, and tries to take me back. The doctor that was treating me follows him and Gobear arrests him thinking he was trying to break me out. When I make a run for it during this I am shot by the veteran advisor and succumb. This is while I was straight jacketed and is on video. This causes him to revive me, not get me out of crit, take me to the brig, and then I succumb multiple times as this repeats. Eventually he heals me out of crit and returns me to isolation.

He claims he intended to transfer me out of my isolation cell earlier despite watching the cams and coming in to interrupt me anytime I unbuckled. This happened multiple times but it sadly isn't in the video. The logs should show him buckling me to the bed multiple times I believe. He also made no attempt to tell me he was trying to transfer me. I believed he was coming in to re-cuff and straight jacket me like he had before.

He claims I was causing a lot of headaches for sec and that's why I had to be straight jacketed and that's why he had to do the weird ass baby talk????? I don't even know the rationale behind this. All of this baby talk and toilet stuff happens after I've been locked in isolation for thirty minutes. It's hard to cause headaches for sec when I'm locked in a room with nothing for 30 minutes. The way Gobear was acting makes me believe that he just enjoys powertripping and enjoys abusing his prisoners, which he has openly admitted to on the Manuelcord multiple times. I will include images and message links at the end of this.

He claims I violently attacked him and other members of sec. I only ever attacked him once and that was after he had me shot and bled out. All other security that I fought with was purely with shoves/stuns. He also claims I violently tried to escape perma twice but I only ever shoved the second time.

The apology, which was sent about 15 minutes after the round ended, he sent me was strictly for the weird stuff and not the general abuse as well. It personally felt insincere combined with him claiming that the round was "funny as fuck" and "torturing CIyde was fun". These were posted DIRECTLY after the round ended. I also feel that it shifts blame to the HoS and really lacks taking responsibility for what he did. I won't post it here as I know the banning admin has it.

Those first two images Clyde posted are not a serious indication of what I think, I was not being sincere.

I'm not blaming the HoS I am just providing context for why I tortured you to begin with. I also did not let the ethereal prisoner die.

Regarding the last transfer, there's no cams that I can look at as far as I know. And i was going to cuff you for the transfer back to perma because you had a history of trying to escape.

I can see how you felt it was insincere. My view of the situation changed after reflecting on it seeing the messages in the OOC lobby on the beginning of the next round.

but also i think based on clyde's comment this is a moot point. i do feel bad about what i did to clyde and even though i dont quite agree with the characterization of it as erotic/creepy. it sounds like clyde doesn't want me coming back ever so i won't be applying for a vouch regardless. dont really want to take up space when someone feels uncomfortable with me. this will be my last communication with the community. i am sorry for all the pain and mayhem i caused, i do feel bad about it but i'm just an impulsive person. i thought i was gradually getting better especially as i played medbay anymore but i fell back into my old habits. i do hope people will remember the more positive interactions. this community meant a lot to me even if i didnt mean a lot to the communtiy and i'm going to miss it. take care everyone!

2/24/2025 Edit: I DM'd clyde about a month later while the forums were still down and they said they'd be okay with me eventually returning. I do regret how I initially handled this as I was focusing on one specific point instead of seeing the overall big picture. What I did wasn't cool and I should've been more open to criticism instead of being defensive in the peanut thread. I'm currently playing on Monke trying to get a vouch. I would like to eventually return to /tg/ and will respect the minimum ban appeal time which is currently set to November. I'm wondering if that can be shortened in any way.
