This is probably dumb and overcomplicated but I think it would be funny if wizard spells were broken into an method and an action and wizards could essentially just write their own spells (with cooldowns based on complexity).

E.g fire+self (which would literally just set the user on fire) or Heal+area (which would be medbay useful)

Wizard's can now be as benevolent or as violent as they want simply by filling their spellbook with super harmless things like heal or confetti, or by loading up on offensive stuff and being nasty.

mad scientist antag - medical/science focused. wants to build a frankenstein monster from spare organs/parts on station. the monster would eventually be ghost controlled, and its stats would change depending on how many extra limbs/organs are inserted, and from what species they came from. taking rotten/cybernetic/cargo ordered or morgue spawned bodies would not be as good. maybe a specific organ from a specific crewmember would be needed to finish it, along with a hard electric shock. they wouldn't want to take over the station, just create their monstrosities and let 'em go

Lore-wise the supermatter should be made of bananium, forever locked in a transitive state of being funny (is bananium) and being not funny (the joke has been explained), which is the singularity proper.
