Your side of the story: <So, a general summary of what occured was that, someone was talking about clothes, another person made a half-joke about helping them fund the clothes thing, so I half jokingly posted a link to a plushie I had from a gifting site, now, I want to say that it was not my intention or presumption that people would look into my profile after doing this, I posted a link to a plushie, that was the extent of this, someone then posted a screenshot of my profile from the gifting site, I then deleted the link to the plushie and didn't encourage this. I really wasn't expecting or thinking that anyone would look at my profile, my intention was just that I was going to post the plushie, get a ha-ha reaction and then delete it, the actual um possibly inappropiate items on my profile were a sweater-dress, which shows your waist and back and I guess a bit of cleavage, a kuromi set which had like a crop top and shorts, and a cat collar. Later in the conversation Lukas said to stop talking about this topic (to everyone) and we all stopped, I just want you to understand that this wasn't a purposeful thing, I posted a link to a plushie, with the assumption that it would be clicked on by one or two people, given the middle finger react, and then I delete it and move on.>

Aoife I'm going to be a little open with the fact that generally appealing immediately after a ban without much other information than what you said in the banning ticket is highly unlikely to change my mind since you already said everything you've said here (roughly) to me in the ticket itself.
Also it's not a "sweater-dress" the link literally says "virgin killer", get real stinky we've all seen it before


This ban was placed as somewhat a ban-based-on-notes, in terms of the fact that you've built up a long and unkind-to-you history with the discord janitorial team. Although you've had a decent history in the past two months, you've been "a problem" for quite a bit more than that.
Being generous and assuming you did not intend to share that you had lingerie and a virgin killer dress on your please-buy-me-this list I'd still be raising an eyebrow because of the fact that regardless of intention it's still coming close to the same rule that you've been warned to steer clear of numerous times.
Dreary's had six months of trying to help you improve, after which when she was no longer headmin, she handed the process off over to me- and then when I saw you posting insensitive and explicit commentary about funger again, I told you that you were on your last-last-last-last chance and to steer far away from this. You should've considered what else was on the profile you had posted before posting it, even if what you were linking specifically was not explicitly sexual.

As an example, if someone posts non R-18 media from an 18+ twitter acct, the usual expectation is that either A) the twitter acct marks itself as 18+ in the username or B) they say it's a NSFW account or C) it's done in a channel (eg: the art channel) where "artistic media" is allowed even if it borders on the edge. (porn is not allowed anywhere in our discord) Posting what you posted in tgstation general doesn't mark any of those, and even unintentional, you linked a site where you are asking people to buy you explicit clothing. It's enough that I'm tired of playing the "is it or isn't it enough" game for someone with a history like yours, and thus it's a ban that I feel is just and not worth repealing, regardless of original intent.

If this feels unjustified, consider the fact that we (the tgstation staff team) also ban people for repeatedly unintentionally fucking up the SM as an engineer- at some point it doesn't matter the intention behind the action, you're still breaking the rules. I think you've gone on long enough that intentional or otherwise you keep breaking the rules, and thus find yourself here.


TL;DR: This appeal is denied by myself. You're free to ask for headmin oversight if you feel that this ban was placed in an unjust manner or is otherwise invalid, and barring that, you're free to reappeal in 12 months. As with all cases, chances to be let back in are improved with good vouches- in your case I'd be looking for engagement in another ss13 community with good remarks from administration there after some time being involved.

Also, as a closing note- I want to let you know that I don't hate you or anything like that. I'm irritated by the fact that this behavior was repetitive enough that I've seen plenty of complaints about it from other DJs (and I've complained about it myself quite a few times too) but if you're being honest that all this is unintentional I think you're somewhat disadvantaged by your own perception, and encourage you to try and consider how what you do and say online can come across to other people and the communities you say it in. Well like I just want to reiterate that it wasn't my intention for anyone to look at my profile and the link to the plushie was kept up for literally a minute (before I deleted it), and the actual items from my profile I really don't think they were explicitly like sexual, like, you think they are so I can't post images but, if you or the headmin reviewing this wants to actually see the profile and the items they can DM me or whatever, the lewdest item was the dress that showed a bit of cleavage, like ha-ha funny name sure but, that was the most innapropiate thing there, and also like I had 18 items on my profile, and those three were the only possible bad things, the rest were just plushies and a gameboy SP, a fragrance, more plushies, a silent hill shirt, like, the link was only up for a minute, i posted a link to a plushie with no intention or assumption that ANYONE would ever glance at my profile, people went out of their way to find this stuff. I'll be honest, if I had to read another discussion in the Discord Jannie mod channel about you toeing the line in your community interactions I'd've probably banned you myself for just being a high maintenance community member and dared my co-headmins to overrule me and overturn it. That or thrown myself off a bridge.

Whether it was your repeated obsession with Fear and Hunger posting which you got warned and last-warning'd for, or trying to get people to share photos of themselves in DMs, your need to be the center of attention like the time you went into polcon to try figure out what porn was acceptable to post (hint: none) and when challenged on why you'd want to do this your response was simply "attention, duh" or your now repeated attempts to reference your throne page and at suggesting - in jest or otherwise - at least one person buy stuff from it for you. And that's not even a comprehensive history of issues the Discord Jannie team have discussed about you.

You just go from issue-causing arc to issue-causing arc, consistently the subject of conversations about where the limits of good taste and our rules lie with an "oopsie, I forgot" when you're challenged on stuff you've been asked not to repeat.

As in individual headmin, I have precisely zero interest in spending the next 5 months repeatedly listening to the DJ team impotently try to figure out where the line for banning you is, when the reality is the line for banning you is a was. Of course this isn't a the headmin decision. It is just my individual thoughts on this appeal, the merits of your ban, and on your history here as a community member in general. Maybe having this said to you in such a blunt and frank way will inspire you to say something that'll change my mind, but I highly doubt it. Sorry if this is gonna be a pain in the ass, but can you provide a more thorough context and/or receipts (I don't mind you leaking modbus discussions or posting links to them and summarising/tl;dring if necessary) for this ban in general?

I also open the floor to any other Discord Jannie to provoide context or insight as well, since due to a core basis for this ban - accumulation of notes/warnings/admin interaction history - Omega isn't the only admin to have had interactions with Aoife that have contributed to this becoming a ban.

Aoife's interactions with the Discord Jannie team track back to before Burger unretired and before DrAmazing first became an admin candidate, and in any event neither of them had access to the modbus channel before becoming headmins. While they can always look the history up if they care, it's better to hear stuff first-hand.

As a helper, discussion is roadblocked on why/how this incident resulted in a perma. At least one headmin doesn't see any problem at all with posting a link to the plushy from their Throne page and is questioning how this ended up with any admin intervention at all.

Individually I still stand by my belief that Aoife is a high maintenance community member - of which this is just another in a long line of quasi-problems.

Unfortunately. this may end up like a character assassination as a result but I guess that's the price Aoife has to pay in order to see and challenge the complete case against them.

Burgerman's requested that everyone hold off on posting anything re: histories until at least sunday so that he and the rest of the headmin team can take a deeper look on all relevant information to ensure that nothing particularly unnecessary / personal / sensitive ends up in a public forum, and hopefully produce an outcome without having to expose any more than necessary.

The /tg/station staff team has a strong dedication towards ensuring that the ban appeals forum is accessible and non-hostile towards users as part of our policy on transparency and fairness, and everyone (timber included, this isn't me saying "haha get fucked timber", he was involved in the discussion) is working in conjunction to ensure that any necessary context can be provided in a way that's not unnecessarily harmful to the appellant.

Burger: The ban is upheld, things no longer need to wait until Sunday, this may seem random because of how quickly the dynamic changed due to discussion and new evidence coming in tonight but I believe Aoife is detrimental to the ss13 community and should not be allowed on any of our platforms on tgstation, this is going to be a massive trust me bro and may leave many in the community feeling dissatisfied or angry but there will be some discussion on what can be brought to the light in following days but no promises can be made in this regard

In light of what we've got, I'm absolutely all for upholding this ban and had said I was in favor of it before the decision was fully made. I had been present in the conversation earlier, and what we received only reaffirmed my beliefs.
