Why should this appeal be accepted?: I get it now. I'm sorry for needlessly souring interactions between me and players at a place that's supposed to be fun. I took a few days to take a hard look at myself, and talked to another player about it; and also, try different games and servers where I also utterly suck - I wouldn't want to get yelled at by me after a long day either.
It's more constructive to put that energy towards improving resources for new players that start out in the game - I had a fairly difficult time starting out with TG/TG-adjacent servers, too. I'll blame the manuals rather than the pilot who 'should know better', whatever that was supposed to mean. It's also unreasonable to unconditionally assume someone else wants to improve, or do things a certain way in their playtime. I will not do that again. Put note to ban me in case I turn out to be a shitfaced liar, and make that unappealable for a year.

My main thought right now is that it's only been a week since you've been banned, and as of now all I have is your word that you'll do better. And it seems like you still have some bitterness for other players

It's not the idea behind these words (which I will charitably assume is "other people have priorities while playing that don't align with mine"), but the way you're saying it, which comes off as "some people want to stay bad at the game." And that expression is often a contributing factor in other players ignoring you, which leads to you getting frustrated.

I want you to show me that you've improved. Come back in 6 months with a vouch, and we can revisit this then. Otherwise, this appeal is denied.

You're completely right, I don't know what goes on in your head. And I'm not punishing you based on what I imagine you think, because that's irrelevant. Frankly it was me trying to figure out what you mean by your second paragraph, but I suppose I just made things more confusing.

This is not an upgrade to your ban, it's standard procedure for permanent bans. Usually you can't appeal for another full year after being denied, but I'm creating an exception allowing you to appeal sooner than you would usually be able to.

Banned from the server for 48 hours - Round ID 177673 - As an atmos tech after spending a while under medical care (medbay in that round was comprised of 2 people and overwhelmed), picked a fight and threw insults at the doctor that tried to help them, when the doctor shot them with morphine they threw a bomb at them (severely damaging medical and causing one additional casualty), there was no prior meaningful interaction between them beside medical care. Was argumentive in ticket.

Warning for rule 1 regarding demanding, abrasive, and occasionally abusive language towards admins in adminhelps. We had a long conversation about this and I believe improvement is possible and likely. Rule 1 does still apply when speaking to admins and avoiding this kind of language will help us help you as smoothly as possible.

Warned to tone back how aggressive they are acting to other players regarding insulting them/yelling at them for mistakes.

As per Discord DMs: In general you've gained a reputation for being extremely difficult to deal with in tickets. Things like demanding admins ban someone, being belligerent, being uncooperative and impatient. It's gotten to the point where nobody wants to take your tickets because they are just a nightmare to deal with. We've seen you being unjustifiably abrasive to admins for years now, and people are getting tired of it. If you don't start showing more restraint you're likely looking at a QC/Rule 1 ban.

I had zero bans for conduct like this prior to your stellar decision.

The above note is for flinging a bomb in Medbay more than 2.5 years ago that resulted in some collateral damage. As a result of that ticket, I determined that assembly bombs are bullshit, even if they're nerfed into the ground now, and generally didn't feel like wasting time on medbay players that won't verify a body isn't losing all its organs, for an hour, with a stack of epipens next to the body that entire time.

It's okay. They don't know yet they can avoid lots of problems down the line by taking a second out of their minute-long Tend Bruises (Basic) session on a roller bed in order to preserve bodies indefinitely with one/two/three clicks. It's also okay if they do this after they put me in an MMI and then continue that, while you are desperately trying to explain. What crossed the line that round was them disposaling your MMI'd brain and your corpse instead of doing the far easier step of just making sure there is a reasonable non-zero (yes, non-zero is the standard on this server now !) chance I will be able to rejoin the round.

That is the sort of bone-headed, willful, and sometimes actively malicious, ignorance that you have come to expect from Terry players. I don't even have to explain what goes on in Engineering, you just had to join a couple of rounds as a non-engineer trying to accomplish something of note during the round to see what a disaster that is. I can show you that I don't really care anymore; I have spent more passion and energy on trying to steer those people than anyone should have, sparing no expense at incidentally destroying my reputation with other players - because and not limited to that grinding you down over time. Your server is bleeding statics. They just don't tell you what's up in the very visible way that I did.

this is what you were banned for, and this statement is doing a lot of heavy lifting in minimizing what you're being held responsible for.

we investigated your conduct and your history across rounds and found you to be a constantly aggressive and extremely unkind person to be around, and it was clearly not just a character you're playing. no admins came to your defence with good stories of your conduct, because they didn't have any. they only had more bad stories and associated ahelp conversations to back them up.

at the start of this appeal you said you "get it", yet very quickly it has become clear that you didn't get it at all. you're being a dick with such readiness that over time the entire admin team has come to the conclusion that your presence in a round is consistently a negative to everyone else. this is a social roleplaying game. if you acted this way at d&d night even the most virtuous dungeon master with the patience of a saint would throw you out before the doritos were finished.

this game should not make you this angry. this game should not make you treat your fellow participants this way. if you want to blame it all on the actions of others forcing you to respond in such a vile way, then for your own benefit you should find somewhere else to play anyway, because clearly you don't get along with anyone here.
