In addition you both logged out at the same time/you said this before logging. 'Fixjeen : 1000 counts of metacommunication' 'Fixjeen : I just metacommunicated sooo much' You were offline and I couldn't ask you what the deal was, so please explain in an appeal."

Why are you making this appeal?(Check what applies):
() - The ban/note is factually incorrect
() - The ban/note is not against the rules
() - The ban/note needs modification
() - The ban was unjustifiably harsh
(✓) - I was permabanned and I want another chance
Why should this appeal be accepted?: To be honest I did talk to them a bit through discord but it was about controls because its extremely hard to explain in a local server and IC, I left the same time as them because they spammed me in discord about how they left because it was boring and seeing the fact I was dead I just ghosted because I would join another round. I was trying to at least somewhat keep it IC by saying they were my brother with amnesia, and I beat them to crit because they kept running away and I wanted to teach them.

we are extremely strict on metacomms. communicating about the round using out-of-round methods is considered cheating and results in a permaban.
we have an exception to OOC in IC when it concerns teaching someone how to play. when explaining mechanics you are allowed to be as OOC as you want:

I understand that however in the few times I used out of round communication was strictly about controls and nothing in round.dendydoom wrote: ↑Sat Jun 08, 2024 3:25 pm we are extremely strict on metacomms. communicating about the round using out-of-round methods is considered cheating and results in a permaban.

as mentioned above, the rules on this are extremely strictly enforced and even sharing a voice call with people you're in the round with can quickly turn to cheating. under no circumstance do we allow players to circumvent ingame methods to coordinate things with people midround due to the very slippery slope and lack of overview it inherently has.
particularly with friends you're introducing to the game, starting their experience with getting them to break one of the most quickly permabanned for rules without them even being aware of the severity of it is not great - nobody wants their first interaction with the game to be one where the people running the server yell at them over a rule they didn't know/didn't comprehend the severity of. i'm not really seeing a lot of understanding on that end from you as to why this is a very no-budge policy.

I do understand why you'd ban me but I can't really communicate about it IC if I'm getting smited for explaining myselfTheBibleMelts wrote: ↑Sat Jun 08, 2024 9:06 pm as mentioned above, the rules on this are extremely strictly enforced and even sharing a voice call with people you're in the round with can quickly turn to cheating. under no circumstance do we allow players to circumvent ingame methods to coordinate things with people midround due to the very slippery slope and lack of overview it inherently has.

I however do NOT understand how we were "coordinating things" accusing me/us of that makes zero sense considering I already stated I only told him controls when he asked.

i smited you for OOC'ing in IC when you weren't even near the other player - you were arrested by security and dragged far out of their range, and the mentioned OOC in IC was you telling the officer that they shouldn't arrest you because you only hurt/beat into crit a friend you invited to the video game that you you were playing together.FixJeen wrote: ↑Sat Jun 08, 2024 9:56 pmI do understand why you'd ban me but I can't really communicate about it IC if I'm getting smited for explaining myselfTheBibleMelts wrote: ↑Sat Jun 08, 2024 9:06 pm as mentioned above, the rules on this are extremely strictly enforced and even sharing a voice call with people you're in the round with can quickly turn to cheating. under no circumstance do we allow players to circumvent ingame methods to coordinate things with people midround due to the very slippery slope and lack of overview it inherently has.

for the second concern, please read the reply you quoted. i was elaborating on the reasoning of why we take a harsh stance on this, and did not specifically cite you as coordinating with them - though i'd argue the fact that you both logged out of the game at the same time could be considered doing so.
i have given you a few posts to express a some key things i've been looking for in this appeal, such as an assurance that you won't consider line-toeing on this, or a deeper understanding of why we have the rule in place, and haven't seen either. on that basis, i am going to deny this for the time being and ask you to try again in a month.
