Ban reason and length: I was banned for "meta-communication". Permanent
Time ban was placed (including time zone): Around 8 P.M.
Your side of the story: Rezalex (Tonykillyou) and I (Toast33) made a deal a long time ago whenever I am an engineer I'll get him hacking tools for anything within his power if needed. I was banned because I dropped off a toolbox with some tools by the Botanist's door since I knew Rezalex would be there (Checked my PDA for his job). I knew about this part of rule five "Persistent character relationships are acceptable.." since I seen them before; however, I did not know about this part "so long as they're roleplayed out every round..". Therefore we never really talked about the deal since we first made it, in game, around a year ago when we started playing together. I haven't talked to him with a third-party source since the first time we were banned and that time we were both in my room, I think Jesse Pinkman (Slabith) was also banned, not really talking to each other but were questioned since the IP address were the same. The last time I used a third-party chat client/"meta-communicated" was when ZachBerry was playing and it was his very first time playing and the game can be confusing to explain so I used Teamspeak with him just to explain the very basic controls and the interface, everything else I did in character. An admin asked me about this and I explained, he said just not to do it again. I think it was An0n3 but I'm not sure. Anyways so that was the first and last time I used a third-party chat client since the night Slabith, Tonykillyou, and I were all banned.
Why you think you should be unbanned: I think a permanent ban for dropping off a toolbox without talking in IC is a heavy punishment.

This also isn't the first time you've been banned for metacomms, along with the same person.

I didn't do this. I didn't have any info besides that Rezalex was a Botanist and that was from my PDA, so that is in game.

Well, there's this "How much or how little of previous “shifts” your character recalls is up to their discretion" and we made the deal in game months ago and since its' up to the player how much their character remembers I feel like it wasn't' really wrong that I dropped off a toolbox. I always give him tools no if I am an engineer unless he has some already. I did state I didn't know about "so long as they're roleplayed out every round" and that is my fault for not checking up on the rules since I first started playing, three years ago, and I accept that but a permanent ban is really heavy for dropping off a toolbox.

And since the last time you were banned for metacomms with the same person, you didn't bother to go back over the rules for that?

And for months, you've been wordlessly dropping off tools for your real life friend under the pretense that you roleplayed months ago? This was noticed by other admins as well that you two were acting particularly in favor of eachother with zero roleplay. This doesn't seem the least bit meta to you at all?

Reading it like that I guess it looks meta but we haven't used a third-party talking source and the last time I was banned I was using Skype, to help teach Slabith, so no I didn't go read the rules because I broke an older ruling. I'm not trying to getting fully unbanned because I did wordlessly drop off tools, when I could've PDA'd messaged him asking if he wants tools or something along those lines but being permanently banned is really severe. I just want it lowered.

And there's really nobody to blame but yourself on that.

As it stands the two of you can't be trusted to play on the server together, especially since you've had problems with this before, so the deal i'm willing to extend is that the both of you talk and figure out who wants to keep playing and the other will remain banned. After a significant amount of time the other one can appeal.
