When and where this incident occured (Game Server, forums, Discord): Game Server (Terry)
Byond account and character name OR Discord name: Virescent-Anastasia Isaman
Admin: Justice12354
ROUND ID HERE IF APPLICABLE: https://sb.atlantaned.space/rounds/198978
Detailed summary: So this was a lowpop round where I was a progtot. I quickly rushed the Legendary objective which was to turn people into zombies. I couldn't find anyone but one guy around the station, but he rage-quit after I killed him. There were only two possible targets remaining, two players in holodeck playing TGC or something like that. I've interacted before with them, but decided to let them go before. But this time I got desperate and tried to convince them. One of them (the admin played character) was being rude so I used X-4 on the holodeck doors, then proceeded to shoot one of them dead and go for the last one (which was the admin).
She cheated in a tactical energy gun which could stun me on one hit, just to salt-kill me. Defended it with "She happened to have energy gun, deal with it". This is an abuse of power. She could've bwoinked me "This is an admin area now, avoid it" or just set up her game in CC but she didn't want to bother (as she wrote down). Her behavior in dchat was also very dubious and unprofessional, as seen in this picture: https://im.ge/i/sJ9ZFS

Re: [<Justice12354>] Virescent - Admin cheating
Yea I suspected that she did not even spawn with the cheat gun but rather created it the moment we interacted. Anyways someone in the conversation about this issue suggested that Iain deals with this issue, but I think that's a bad idea. The admin in question is having a nice chat with the other admin and agrees with her completely, even goes on to rant to me in dchat about it. I have doubts about them being a third, unbiased party.Misdoubtful wrote: ↑Fri Jan 27, 2023 5:24 am The round ID for this complaint is actually: R198982.
Excuse the messy logs I said I'd do this if I hadn't fallen asleep yet and I know they aren't very presentable.
This should be a collated screenshot of just about everything from the beginning of the encounter here (and the affected parties) to the end of the round.
Also has the dchat conversations taking place during it and admin button pushes during the encounter.
This is from the parsed logs. This obviously does not include raw log material.
Its 360 lines long. I may come back to it and ACTUALLY clean it up (more and remove junk lines) when I'm awake.

Re: [<Justice12354>] Virescent - Admin cheating
This is going to be quite a log dump, and it'll come in two parts.
I am choosing to reveal parts of the raw, uncensored logs that include the private ASAY channel. They provide additional context for conduct and mindset.
This will be repeating a lot of Misdoubtful's logs posted, but organised a bit differently.
Section The First: Log entries directly applicable to the complaint aka "The Important Part You Need To Read"
Logs utilised:
ADMINPRIVATE entries: https://tgstation13.org/raw-logs/terry/ ... 2/game.log (Link will only work for admins or equivalent)
Attack logs: https://tgstation13.org/parsed-logs/ter ... attack.txt
Game logs: https://tgstation13.org/parsed-logs/ter ... 2/game.txt
Logs were filtered for iain0, starlord_gwyn, justice12354, virescent and ADMINPRIVATE. There may also be snipped parts of the logs. Caveat emptor: As always do your own log diving for maximum context.
The substantive part of this complaint: Justice12354 spawning a gun shortly after an antag threatens them with deadly force IC.
The secondary part of this complaint: Deadchat behaviour. Extra context featuring part of Justice12354's explanation at the time for their actions and the admin team online's approach to conduct while discussing the issue with the player.
Supplementary information Part 1: At the time of death, the shift had been going on for about an hour at this point, adjusted for pre-shift-start waiting time.
Supplementary information Part 2: At this point in time the player had a Romerol final objective for ~15-20 minutes.
Section The Second: Broader, more contextual split of the logs that Misdoubtful posted, including ASAY where relevant aka "The Complete Context Filtered For Your Convenience, Read If Bored"
Logs utilised:
ADMINPRIVATE entries: https://tgstation13.org/raw-logs/terry/ ... 2/game.log (Link will only work for admins or equivalent)
Attack logs: https://tgstation13.org/parsed-logs/ter ... attack.txt
Game logs: https://tgstation13.org/parsed-logs/ter ... 2/game.txt
Manifest logs: https://tgstation13.org/parsed-logs/ter ... nifest.txt
Logs were filtered for iain0, starlord_gwyn, justice12354, virescent and ADMINPRIVATE. Caveat emptor: As always do your own log diving for maximum context. All snipped parts are annotated.
Prelude: How our actors take to the stage
Act 1: Virescent speaks to the admin team in at the Holodeck and threatens them, ending in Justice12354 spawning in a gun.
Act 2: Virescent leave, kills, tries to create a zombie.
Act 3: Virescent returns and uses X-4 on the holodeck. Justice12354 enters build mode to repair the damage.
Act 4: Virescent fires at Starlord_Gwyn, killing them.
Act 5: Virescent attacks Justice12354, eventually gets overpowered by taser shots and gets killed by Justice12354 with the Cap's Sabre after Justice12354 strips it from them.
Act 6: Deadchat conversation leading to complaint.
Act 7: ASAY conversation following this.

Re: [<Justice12354>] Virescent - Admin cheating
Before defending myself on anything, I will be breaking down the events of this conflict in order:
- Spawned myself in to play TGC during lowpop;
- Virescent showed up, claiming they were bored and wanted to plasmaflood the station with the Holodeck;
- We explained we were playing and they respectfully left;
- They later showed up suggesting to turn us into zombies;
- We declined;
- I spawned in a tactical energy gun;
- They returned, sharing their temptation to forcefully turn us into zombies;
- We ignored them;
- They bombed the Holodeck's door and started shooting at Gwyn;
- I stunned and killed them with their own sword;
- There was an obnoxious exchange of messages in dead chat.
1) - What was I doing there in the first place?
At that moment, I failed to realize what I was actually doing in the Holodeck, a player space. It was surely not an admin event, so it ended up falling closer to playminning. I did not properly evaluate the weight of spawning myself by not thinking about possible interactions with the crewmembers. Last night, I didn't know yet how to set up the TGC elsewhere and, as I said in dsay, it would take time so I figured I could play it on the Holodeck, given no one was using it (and, once again, it was lowpop). Ultimately, this ended up in me being a player admin without realizing it.
2) - Why did I spawn in a tactical energy gun??
After Virescent left the Holodeck for the second time, I realized I shouldn't have decided to play on the Holodeck because of possible negative interactions. So, I spawned a tactical energy gun (I don't know if it has any modes besides stun because it was the one I left it in) in my satchel so that, if anything went wrong, I could avoid trouble without making too much of a mess. This was a bad idea, given this ended up in me arming what looked like a random crewmate with an insta-stun gun while playminning. I didn't do this to use it specifically against them, because they had already left and I didn't even think they would return at all; I also didn't spawn the gun out of salt, because that was far before the real conflict began.
3) - Why did I attack them with an admin-spawned weapon?
While I've seen peanuts claiming I responded to Virescent's attack in an attempt to stop a lowpop murderbone (which it wasn't, in my opinion, because Romerol was their objective), the truth is that I got overly attached to the match Gwyn and I had been building up and, in the heat of the moment, the salt got over me and I acted in a very questionable way while adminned. The proper response in that scenario would've probably been to accept my death or run away if I wanted to give them some chase for their amusement. As I stated before, spawning in the stun gun was my first mistake and using it was my second. While my initial plan was to use it as a weapon of non-lethal crowd control (regardless of this being a mistake on its own, which I now, after thinking back, understand clearly), it escalated in an abusive way into me using it to kill them. I should've listened to rule 10 at this moment, but I didn't.
4) - Why was I so toxic in dead chat?
Out of all my shitty, rushed decisions yesterday, this one was by far the worst. Taunting a player into filling in a complaint against me wasn't the wisest choice. It was a roller coaster of cringe wording and shitty taunts that happened in the heat of the moment. There isn't much I can say besides going over the majority of the messages, saying "yikes" and noticing how it all happened because I didn't make myself neutral and unbiased as an admin. I understand my conduct in that exchange of words was unacceptable and not even close to the standards we're held up to.
5) - Conclusion
At the moment I didn't realize it, but now I understand that my conduct was far away from acceptable. I made a lot of rushed decisions and I failed to understand what I did wrong. Looking back at it, I can now see that what I did was straight-up admin abuse due to overattachment to some dumb card game and that I failed to distance myself emotionally from the conflict as a playmin (even though it was very blurry to me at the time that I was playminning, which is still my fault). I understand all the admin conduct that I broke, regarding admin abuse and unprofessionalism, and I can say that I've learned a lot from this experience. In my 8 months of adminship prior to my retirement of 3 months, I didn't have any conduct issues, but I believe that the time that I was away made me forget to emotionally distance myself from any conflicts I'm involved in, in order to stay as unbiased and fair as possible. This, along with being unsure of what I was posing as at the moment, led me to make very bad decisions that I wouldn't have made otherwise.
With all of this in mind, I'd like to apologize to Virescent for unfairly using admin weapons against them and for my overall unprofessionalism. I take all the blame for the outcome of the conflict and I realise that I should've been better and taken this position as an Administrator far more seriously.

Re: [<Justice12354>] Virescent - Admin cheating
I think I can accept the apology, along with a promise that this won't happen to me again. I understand what it's like to get lost in a heat of a moment. In the future, I don't mind getting bwoinked and asked not to interfere. I can always respect that. Hell, even if I get sent ERT of Deathsquad at me as retaliation sounds good enough. Plus I don't think I'm gonna do antaggery again below 10 pop in the future so no need to worry. I just wanted to test out the final objectives and since I basically never roll progtots during Highpop, this was the only way. Sorry about ruining your game, too.Justice12354 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 27, 2023 11:49 pm Before defending myself on anything, I will be breaking down the events of this conflict in order:

Re: [<Justice12354>] Virescent - Admin cheating
Apologies for the delay on this, we've had some scheduling conflicts making it hard to get things done recently.
After confirming the events that led to this complaint, we have decided that it is entirely merited and will be upholding it.
While messing around with admin tools on lowpop isn't something we prohibit admins from doing, any personal usage of those tools comes with increased responsibility to not hold them over or use them to the detriment of other players for personal gain. Spawning in an admin weapon to kill a traitor guided by their objectives for interfering with you is a massive breach of admin conduct, and not something we find at all acceptable, especially so soon after returning from a break adminning. We acknowledge that there are reasonable arguments that murderous traitor objectives should not be available on such low population rounds code side, but they are currently irrelevant to the fact that they are available and are relevant - punishing players for attempting to play the game normally is not how we should operate as an administration.
As a resolution to this, we have demoted Justice down to an Admin Candidate again, we do not believe that they are incapable of acting as a good admin or that this was done with irreconcilable malice, but they will need to demonstrate that they can once again meet the expectations of an active administrator before we evaluate their suitability to regain full access to our admin tooling.
Additionally, while Iain and Gwyn do not appear to have engaged in direct abuse themselves, we are not pleased by their reactions to a player being killed by an admin self-spawn for attempting to complete their objectives, and we have reprimanded both.
Additional note: Subsequent to this Gwyn has voluntarily stepped down to the rank of trialmin, as they believe that they would benefit greatly from some retraining and catching up after their time away.

Re: [<Justice12354>] Virescent - Admin cheating
Hey there, thank you for informing me. I have nothing against the decision. Also I know that it was cringe to do antag stuff on very low pop but it was a one-time thing anyways. Just wanted to try Legendary task.spookuni wrote: ↑Thu Feb 02, 2023 12:24 am Apologies for the delay on this, we've had some scheduling conflicts making it hard to get things done recently.
