We don't need any more crew species, especially not animal ones. In fact we probably need less.

Strictly speaking species like Vox or Dionae are distinct in a lot of ways that are not "is shaped like an animal." But those differences are present in both species mechanics and how they express in MRP+. LRP it doesn't matter as much because they're all just game pieces in costume like everything else.

Hell, I'd be fine with skipping crew Vox entirely and that somebody else just picked up the ball and finished Vox Traders because that role is cool, roundstart or as a ghost. (I think the last attempt was working out as a spawner-based ghost role like ash lizards.

obligatory warning that "vox" is one of those words that flip a switch in certain SS13 players heads that turn them into complete mental defectives as soon as they press the button to play one, regardless of the specific rules of the server they're on

otherwise completely normal and decent roleplayers press the vox button and their frontal lobes are replaced entirely with "kikikikikikiki dustbreathers" and an urge to smash their way into places, steal shit for no other reason than it was behind a window, and get in fights with everyone they encounter
