It's why I can hardly play SS13 anymore. It sucks to be in a position where I very well know I could have/should have won but didn't because of something out of my control. At least when I get dunked regularly, it's because I made some critical mistake or went the wrong way, but lag just feels so awful.

As antag you can do whatever, a malf round is centered on the AI only and it can be really frustrating if you have no idea of what you're doing.

New players also have the right to learn, and there are no tutos for wizard, malf or blob. You can learn to be robust by being engineer, or scientist, or learn the basics as an AI, but launching spells or knowing what to do as a blob is different.

It's not like we have a wiki with specific tutorials or anything.

I pretty much play with the wiki on the other hand depending on my role, but I don't think everyone does that.
I dunno if we are to expect everyone to use the wiki often (or if people even bother reading a bit about their role and tips)
But yeah, your point is valid, I guess, you have the wiki as a crutch.

You also forgot just how mad deadchat got at the officers stopping you from surviving/getting on the shuttle. People were yelling for admins to send in the dead for justice.

heh, it's fine. and oh god yeah, tons of people were pissed and took out all their anger in the ensuing bloodbath (which took place during an unrelated admin investigation)

As usual, I'm not sure if this belongs more to regret, or awesome, since I had a great time as well, but ok.

So, this happened a couple of days ago, I was T.H.AN.A.T.O.S. about to oversee the station, when my rules got updated, stating the need to erase a particular security officer.

"This shouldn't be too hard" I thought, so I went to check security to find.... more than a dozen members. It was event time, and security had even more than one warden or HoS, it could become incredibly hard to silently erase one particular officer, at this point, I couldn't suspect to what point things would go out of control.

Centcom sent messages that made me thing NT was commanded by a cultist, but after a while their messages started making sense, and they demanded crewmembers to be sent to perma in exchange for rubles or some scrap coin.

Meanwhile, engineering was almost empty of crew, just the CE, who did some strange things, like clearing the secure storage before setting up singulo, or flooding engineering with plasma. His behaviour was so strange, people kept thinking I got subverted by him for a while, it didn't help matters that I locked down engineering and burned alive one officer inside of it with plasma fire.

Security was going completely bonkers, sending people to prison for petty things, excuses, or even other officers for not being content with reaching new heights of shitcurity. At this point some prisoners were begging me to release them, to what I complied, since it sounded entertaining and a major bother to sec.
It was in this moment that I saw what was the perfect chance for me to jump in, they were harmbatoning hard one prisoner, and I saw it, so calling the law 1 I didn't really respect, I proceeded to lock down security completely (As in locking, bolting everything, and blowing up the lights)

Their reaction was... passionate, they immediately screamed their desire to achieve my demise (Remember, they didn't knew I was evil yet) so I prepared for the worst, when the machine spirit contacted me.

"Dost thou desire borgs?"

At this point I had one lone engiborg, and the poor dude would get robusted in no time, with the heavy tide of shitcurity incoming, so I agreed. Later I learned that those summoned to my side were the souls of deceased prisoners, adding delicious rage to the power of their frames.

Sadly, singulo has fled the scene time ago, and I was unable to hack the borgs in a timely matter, due to the RD's desk being out of juice, to ensure a greater advantage, but of course, the RD (Traitor as well) was busy trying to raid my core to think on that console.

My purpose was not to erase the station, but to protect the innocents from security, but when both security and normal crewmembers poured in, it all became a matter of self-defence. Their casualties were plenty and the survivors were forced to flee from the wrath of my borgs.
It was, at this point, that my demise was sealed, since requesting my borgs to recharge the RD's APC, I failed to ask at least one of them to secure my core against further raids. A few minutes later, while scanning the main situation, shots brought me back to my core, where a detective and the captain managed to break in, and kill me.

After that, the murderbone was real, my borgs, maybe saddened or relieved by my death, went of a murder spree, erasing most of the crew, and manning a shuttle with just a couple of survivors, tortured endlessly but dozens of beepskies, the last reminder of a round when the strongest security didn't manage to survive the rampage of their own victims (reincarnated as robust borgs)

My regret was being unrobust, not paying enough attention to the dangers around me, and not asking the machine spirit for an updated objective of "Save the station from the evil security forces".

Also, I locked shirtless Dave in Tcomms, sabotaged his entire work and shocked the doors. Should've syphoned too.

PD: The CE appeared death in space near perma, I don't know what was of him, nor if he was traitor, but surely that would be interesting to hear.
