Right. I've lifted this ban, your ban was only escalated to permanence due to your refusal to say that you wouldn't stop engaging in this sort of behavior even when told walking said path would result in a permaban. If you do not continue this behavior I think a year is enough time to uphold this ban. Of course, this ban is lifted under the assumption you'll stick to your word, so I encourage you to stick to it and hope that the admin team will encourage you to.
