I got a new set of headphones recently on a recommendation from a YouTube channel, decently pricey but I'd been needing a pair anyway, so why not. So they arrived the other day and I was kinda mulling over how much they cost, I was sceptical that they'd match the price point. Anyway I put them on and hot damn, it's like a whole new world of music, made me feel really good all week.

(Wesoda told me to post about something that made me happy, blame him for this ramble)

Like, I thought a lot of the stuff was bullshit, I mostly got them because they came recommended as comfortable for long term listening, and given my old set hurt after like, 2 hours tops (and was getting pretty ragged, the cups were ripped and the jack's been worn smooth enough to the point that it slips out of my phone easily) I went in on it. But after trying them? I'm beginning to think there's something to the claims that headphone quality actually matters, its like it opens up the song in the same way that going from an SD to HD monitor makes games pop. I can definitely recommend it if you listen to a lot of music.

I recentlyish purchased a pair of steelseries after living on the high end logitech ones for years and the difference is actually quite satisfying.

Even if all the buttons are hands down far worse.

holy fuck getting some actually decent headphones is a massive fucking change in audio quality, plus they've lasted me these 4 years and are still going *very* strong.
Would recommend if you have the money to shill out for a 160 dollar set of headphones.
they work great for music and the mic arm actually is pretty decent for picking up your voice and iirc has some decent built-in noise cancellation software

actually, are there headphones that will... loop your voice back in through the speakers? the problem I have with noise canceling headphones is that I can't hear myself speaking so I wind up talking way louder than I would normally.

First expensive headphones I remember buying were ATH-M50's in 2012. After they broke I bought ATH-M50X's in 2016. Had to replace the cable twice last year after tripping over it. About $50 each. Pretty sturdy headphones overall. Good sound.

My arctis pro do, you just have to set the mic sidetone to however high you want it.

Generally when you have noise cancelling headphones it's because you're in public and don't want to listen to anything outside of what you've got playing. My old G933s didn't have noise cancelling at all, it was just quality sound.

Btw Serpico this is fukn weird dude. Just make a new account, get an admin to move your notes over to it and pretend you never existed on tg before that to everyone else.
