i was annoyed/confused about the ban at the time but i can look back and say i can see the comedic value, it was just inappropriately timed / estimated as to if i would find it funny at the time or if it was appropriate at the time

the trial period is certainly there to allow you to make mistakes and learn from them, shouldn't give the guy too hard of a time he was just trying to be funny to a friend of his (me), i think i just did not receive it the way he thought it would be received

Trial period is for this sort of thing, I made the same mistake of trying to appear tough in the beginning. Never feel obligated to place a ban, err on the side of caution and leniency until you’re more confident in yourself to start handing it out punishment.

Fikou is a great member of the community and he has done a lot of work in both mapping and coding. It is good that he is an admin now. It is unfortunate that he made this call.

He was forthcoming and owned up to his mistake. From what I know of Fikou he will learn from this and not repeat it.

New admins are allowed to fuck up. It's how they handle those fuckups that matters.

Fikou did so quite well, so I don't see an issue here. It was rectified and both parties seem to be pretty happy with the results.
