Your side of the story: <Since I logged out before I could answer any ahelps and explain the facts, the admin had to take the clowns side of things. As funny as the ban reason sounds, most of it is not true. Keep in mind though, I must admit that I do not remember every single detail of that shift anymore, so forgive me for that. Shift start: HoP calls over radio if someone wants to be his assistant. I say yes over radio in hopes of getting all access. He changes my ID to "HoPs personal assistant" or something, and after a while giving me all access. My job was to drag him around on a office chair, protecting him etc. It was all harmless fun at first, apart from the clown really annoying the whole station. We go to medbay, grab a stethoscope, he said he wants to crack the vault safe. Never done that before, so I say sure. Keep in mind that HoP was acting captain at that time so it wasn't "illegal" per se, and to my knowledge, cracking a safe doesn't do any harm to anyone. Anyway, clown starts messing with us throughout the whole shift basically, even before all that, shoving us, pushing us to the ground and slamming us on tables, etc. It was already a lethal interaction. Really annoying shitter stuff which probably counts as "funny" to clowns. Throughout the shift I recall having to safe the HoP from various people trying to kidnap him, he would blurt out over radio that he got kidnapped by clown etc., so I would go there and try to get the HoP back. This was before we were in the vault. So after a bit of cracking the AI said that security was waiting for us at the vault entrance. After we captured but then released the clown again, and after sec tried to make their way into vault, I quickly ran out and managed to make my way through the waiting sec officer and returned to medbay to work as my initial job as doctor. Didn't take long and HoP got captured by sec. As to my understanding, arresting a (acting) captain would count as mutiny so I once again helped the HoP escape his kidnapper by stunning sec and grabbing him. Nothing lethal, keep in mind I didn't use any lethal force to this point. I gave the security guy a straightjacket and handed him over to the HoP. He proceeded to go to the execution room with him, so I thought might aswell watch this. Clown comes in not much later, tries to kill us, again. I stun the clown and give him some morphine so he would take a sleep for a while. The clown is really annoying us at that point so I prepare something in case he gets out of hand. I fireman grab him and want to get him to medbay for treatment of his (and my) wounds. For some reason, the medbay entrance doors were shocked. I'm not sure if the AI did that but many people got shocked from it, aswell as me and, the clown on my shoulders. This shock was enough to send him to crit. This is probably what the clown ahelped, and tried to twist it that I wouldve "beat him into crit" which is just not true. I patch him out and prepare him for surgery, I plant a single meth bomb inside him and after I'm finished I tell him that I want to have a truce and be friends. No more fighting. The clown agrees. I tell him if he starts attacking us again I will blow him up, more of a bluff really so he wouldn't mess with us again. He agrees and not one second later shoves me, starts punching me and table slams me onto a glass table and glass shards until I was a millisecond from crit. I tried to run from him, but he was catching up, so I had to use my only weapon I had at that time and blew him up, leaving a small hole behind. Me and him died and after that fiasco I logged out, came back later and to my surprise I was permanently banned. I want to make a few things clear: I was not aware at any point that the HoP was a traitor. Call me dumb or idiotic, but I thought he was more of a shitsec acting captain than a real syndicate agent. I did not intentionally work together with a known traitor, as I did not know he was a traitor. Another thing: The clown started to lethal harm first, making him valid to me. I do apologise for the small hole I caused because of the meth grenade. The clown lied in his ahelps about me "beating him to crit" and I don't know what else. >
Why you think you should be unbanned: <This shift turned out to be a disaster rather than some lighthearted fun. I did NOT intentionally work with a traitor nor will I ever do that. I had no idea at any point throughout the shift that the HoP was a traitor. The surgery thing was done out of frustration and self defense after I got repeatedly harmed by the clown and who wouldn't leave me alone. The clown had a problem with me the shift before where I played a mime, and was just a real nuisance to everyone on the station, doing a lot of borderline self-antagging stuff, e.g. killing me after he initially started a fight, after me coming back from being dead and him instigating yet another fight, killing me again. I usually always try to help around the station, or just have fun with some gimmick from people. This was an honest mistake since I wasn't aware of the HoP's traitor status nor did anyone tell me. I'm pretty sure everyone knows how annoying clowns can be, especially if they start to get violent, so please excuse my exploding clown fiasco.>
References of good conduct: <I haven't had a lot of time writing this appeal aswell as playing ss13 in general due to university stuff, so I haven't played on other servers throughout my ban time. I didn't immediately write a ban appeal though as I do admit that some time off the server would probably be a good thing. I've made friends with a lot of people from Terry and Event Hall and I hope I get to play with them again soon aswell.>

Okay, so. This is all a clusterfuck and it's honestly a bit hard to read. The point at which you probably should have said "Okay, maybe this is getting out of hand" is when you decided to get the HoP back from sec. Sec does have the authority to arrest the acting Captain. In fact, they're the only department that can do so based on space law. If they felt he was unfit to serve, the HoS could have arrested him and handled things from there. Whether or not he was a traitor is irrelevant here - he was acting like one, and as such, should be treated like one. Meaning you really shouldn't have been helping him.
Also the clown was an ass..
The ban's been in place long enough that I'm willing to lift it as long as you understand where things got complicated and how you should act in a situation like this in the future.

Understood. And yea, I really do see where I was wrong here, too. I'll act smarter in the future and I won't participate in something like that again.
