I think Dutch Angel Dragons were the first to have he concept of being a closed species.

Also the name should be Doughi. Like doughnut + corgi for Ian. And conveniently it kinda sounds like doggy

and then vader-san made his own synth species that also has face-visors and just said "lol do whatever it's open I'm granting permission for anyone to adapt my design any way they see fit" and they SCREEEEEEAMED
