Your side of the story: There's nothing really false about the reason why I was banned. I did indeed drop a spoiler for Endgame in OOC chat, after the film (its spoilers in particular) were brought up during a conversation. Somebody did IC in OOC, we called them out, and one person compared it to spouting an Endgame spoiler. So, in a moment of poor judgement, that's precisely what I did. I'm not going to repeat the exact spoiler, of course. I was reprimanded in OOC for it, then was immediately hit with a permanent ban from the server -- the exact ban message, I have attached to this post. There wasn't anything like an ahelp, but I can sort of understand. The intent of this ban, I'm sure, was to shut me up and make sure that no further spoilers leaked out. Once more, the admin was technically doing their job. Axing me immediately was probably the most pragmatic solution.
Why you think you should be unbanned: Allow me to preface this by saying, the months-long wait before me posting my appeal was very much intentional, for a multitude of reasons. I wanted to make sure that any lingering soreness from me spoiling the movie was gone, as well as show that I was indeed willing to accept a punishment. It was a dick move, for sure, and like I said in the previous passage, made due to some especially poor judgement. The movie had been out for a couple of days at the time of my ban, so I figured that the spoiler I gave was already part of the zeitgeist. I've never watched a Marvel movie in my life (except for the first half of Infinity War on a plane) and somehow, the details of the movie had reached me by then. I figured it was more or less the same story for everyone else.
In the end, though, it was wholly insensitive of me. I shouldn't have done it, and I sure as hell won't do anything like it again in the future. I take full responsibility, I feel like my acceptance of these two months of being banned proves that, and will accept further punishment at the discretion of the admin team. All I ask, really, is for the ban to be reduced from permanent, so that I'll eventually be able to play again.
